Speaker 5:

Right, okay, work.

Speaker 7:

Broke boys, let's get it. Y'all ready. Yes, sir, y'all ready, we ready, we inside this thing, man.

Speaker 2:

How easy was it to get in here, bro? It was easy, it was effortless, it was pretty effortless, man. How easy was it to get in here, bro? It was easy, it was effortless.

Speaker 7:

It was pretty effortless, bro. It's like that shit was meant perfect timing.

Speaker 2:

huh, Bro, Right right, Not only Kesey. Kesey was just like hey, you know where the fuck I am.

Speaker 7:

For real man. Look we in this thing, man 2025, reporting live from Chichensee Stadium. Fresno, california Dog Days. It's official Art Hop Thursday. You know what I mean? We got a free day. You feel me? Hell yeah, hell yeah. Then tomorrow we got the Giddy Up and Groove. I'll be here for that one. That's good man. And then Saturday, big old Dog Days.

Speaker 2:

Ah, they might be tripping.

Speaker 10:

Are you tripping? No, I'm saying, are they?

Speaker 2:

tripping oh no no, we good, we good, okay, okay, wait, wait, wait, oh okay, I had to make sure.

Speaker 5:

But yeah, man, it's going to be a great festival. Yeah, what happened? Oh, it's going to be a great festival bro.

Speaker 2:

It's going to because they are performing back here. Yes, so it's all going down. I hope the camera catches the whole thing, but sure enough it's going down today. Yes, yes.

Speaker 11:

And we getting ready.

Speaker 5:

We getting ready. It's been a lot of work y'all how do?

Speaker 2:

y'all feel it's like full circle because we worked so hard. I mean, we've been on the grind, we've been on the go Since the first day.

Speaker 7:

Since the first day.

Speaker 2:

Like right after the interview we did with Devin, like it was nonstop.

Speaker 5:

Nonstop, all gas, no brakes. Every single day we've been putting in work, trying to progress, trying to make some moves. I mean, look where we at we here we are in Chukchansi Park, not an accident, I just want to say congratulations Thank you, man Thank you. Congratulations to you made it happen.

Speaker 7:

It was a team effort, but by y'all being committed and just understanding the mission and just carrying it through, bro, it's important that people get to see this and see the transition. Like I said, congratulations, man.

Speaker 2:

This is dope. This is iconic. All this could not have happened if it wasn't for this man right here and making it work.

Speaker 5:

Shout out to Kesey, shout out Kesey, shout out Digimads man, appreciate y'all.

Speaker 7:

Hey, this is the craziest Digimads broke boys at dog days. This shit is crazy, but it's going to be cracking.

Speaker 2:

I can't wait to edit these and start publishing them, because this is going to be a great one, bro. Shout out, shout out, shout out. Hopefully we can keep this low-key right?

Speaker 5:

yes, right, it would be crazy come on, come on come on, you gotta get in here, man you can't be talking in the background, get your ass out here

Speaker 7:

bro get live in here though, hell yeah, but nah, this platform is for the city is bigger than me. I'm just gonna let it out. Um, this platform is for the city, right? We? Want to get our guests and our neighbors on here, you know what I mean.

Speaker 7:

Because everybody that's an artist is not going to be on stage. You know what I mean. It's going to be some artists in the city that are just mobbing around checking out the scene or just getting familiar with the whole environment. So we want to showcase as many artists as possible. We really want to build this fresno thing into something very special that it could be passed down to generations. Right, our kids can be able to come to dog days and their kids could come to dog days. Yeah, shout out to devin, we don't shout out nobody else. Thank you, dev thank you, dev.

Speaker 5:

you made it possible, bro. And then here's the craziest part seeing dev create something like this, and I mean I know he's putting in work behind the scenes right now. Y'all probably not going to see him on today's episode, but it's just insane seeing how much work he's put into this and it's already a success. It's the first day of the weekend event and it's already popping you see the Thursday behind us.

Speaker 5:

It's a Thursday in Fresno it's a Thursday we literally got work the next day, Bro, I got off of work, pulled up, did this and then we got work. Tomorrow I got work at 3 am, bro. It's all good. It's going to be crazy. This is worth it.

Speaker 2:

This is definitely worth pulling up, showing up. This is the amount of sacrifice, so much stuff that we put into it, so much stuff that you put into it. Yes, this is a huge success.

Speaker 7:

Yes, yes, it's a pleasure man working with some real to bring to the city. This platform is very special. Man broke boys has it changed my life in a short amount of time. You know what I mean. I appreciate, um, I'm happy that I could be a part of it. I wouldn't want nobody else on the side of me at this point, like I'm just being honest and no no shots to nobody else but you guys are humble, dedicatedworking, intuitive and y'all strong you know what I mean, y'all ain't quit, y'all ain't cap out, y'all didn't get stressed out.

Speaker 7:

You feel me?

Speaker 5:

You get an opportunity like this. It was a lot. It was a lot.

Speaker 7:

Y'all made a testament of time through the fire you feel me.

Speaker 5:

So that's dope. Yes, and thank you for putting your faith in us, bro, because I mean you could have chose anybody Too easy. You know what I'm saying, but something led you to us, and vice versa. Too easy it's insane Again, the intuitiveness. Being able to meet with you. It's been a blessing of growth and we've only been working alongside you for like what a month now. Yeah, about.

Speaker 2:

About a month, about a month, and look how much we have accomplished together. Yes, it's two great forces coming together and bringing their ideas and bringing their creativity together. Yes, it's a beauty. It's the beauty through the pain, through the struggles, through the sacrifice. Everything, every moment, has set you guys up for this. Yes, come on. So we're doing something good, we're doing something big. Shout out to Fresno. Shout out to Fresno. Shout out to Devin. Shout out to Dog Days Fest. You already know. Shout out to Dev.

Speaker 7:

Shout out to the whole team, everybody behind the scenes helping.

Speaker 1:

Dev.

Speaker 7:

Shout out to all y'all because we couldn't have done it without y'all, we would not be here without y'all. When y'all see this, it's like a tear of joy. You feel me night, you know, I mean this word is gonna all go down. Yes, sir, so many legendary acts have performed right here. We just had ludacris, uh ying yang twins and juvenile uh in may. Yep. Then tomorrow we got uh. We got a lot of country artists you know, I'm not too familiar with, but I'm I'm pretty sure it's gonna be special. Yes, you know what I mean. I definitely going to be here witnessing that. And then Saturday we got, of course, chain Smokers, sob P-Lo Poncho, summer Rae, ian Dior, Blair, the Captain. I got to put him in there.

Speaker 7:

We got a mango, we got audacious, you feel me. We got fake, mango, you feel me. We got.

Speaker 11:

Salito yeah.

Speaker 7:

Yeah.

Speaker 5:

It's me. We got Salito.

Speaker 7:

Yeah, it's finna go up man.

Speaker 5:

Y'all stay tuned man.

Speaker 7:

Hopefully we can get Dev on here If y'all see him snatching money he's going to say something you feel me.

Speaker 2:

Let's start interacting with everybody else.

Speaker 12:

Yeah, let's bring some fans on, let's bring some people in here.

Speaker 2:

Let's get you on brother.

Speaker 7:

We're going to bring somebody up here.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, my boy Adesu.

Speaker 7:

He did a podcast earlier this week with us. Heck yeah, and you know I'm going to let him introduce himself. I'm out of here, y'all.

Speaker 6:

Hey, what's going on again, guys, what's up? Good to see you again. So how do? You feel I mean only a few days later oh my.

Speaker 7:

God.

Speaker 6:

Do. This is gonna be. This is where you're gonna be. Yeah, yeah, yeah, 4 pm guys. Oh man, I'm starting it open it up.

Speaker 2:

But wow, look at this, oh yeah, this is.

Speaker 6:

It's beautiful. I can't wait. I can't wait. Especially cool too, like it's just, it's like the perfect time.

Speaker 2:

The weather's already cooling down. Yeah, it's not longer gonna be as hot. Yeah, it's time to fucking party I'm excited, bro.

Speaker 6:

We can just say one thing thank you like that podcast. Oh my god that we did what last week yes, oh my god, so many positive, like reviews and like this has been awesome. I'm so glad I'm so glad.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I love the feedback. A lot of people were hitting me up about it. Love you guys so much. Thank you you were. You were an amazing guest and I can't they can't fathom man. Thank you for being on and thank you for giving me the opportunity to be on and we're gonna keep growing right yeah and uh guys, look at this man.

Speaker 6:

4 pm we're gonna start this. It's beautiful out here, weather's feeling great, yes, so what is it right now? Like it's eight o'clock right now so at eight o'clock we're gonna have some amazing artists kicking it off. Yeah, I know, musty, our local musty, oh musty, you can't wait. Man, who else we got Summer Rae, summer Rae.

Speaker 2:

PeeLo, peelo, sage, sage, the Gemini.

Speaker 5:

Andy War. You know, it's so crazy seeing that lineup because even after the fact I've seen the initial lineup, right yeah. And then I've seen the set times. I was like whoa, whoa, whoa. There's so many more these guys perform. But I wanted to say what's going through your mind? What is going through your mind right now? What are you feeling like?

Speaker 6:

just like yes just it's a mini festival and like it's just exciting, bro, using this anxiety and using this like holy shit, you know I'm gonna play in front of hundreds, you know, and just utilize that and I'm like let's go, let's bring it. You know what I mean. Uh, like I said, djs, we honed our skills the night before and we just fucking bring it. You know we practice the shit out of this, you know, and we know our stuff, we know how it's going to roll and it's just fun, dude, yeah, 1,000%. And look at, tonight we got Fashan in the house.

Speaker 2:

Yes, yes bro Big love to you, Fashan Fresno's coming.

Speaker 6:

Fresno's coming food vendors are out here. Uh, fucking just talking to everybody and yeah, I like it man, yeah, thank you, thank you.

Speaker 2:

Thank you for coming back on, man. Yeah, it's good to see you again, man likewise bro it's an

Speaker 5:

amazing feeling, bro, so I want to ask you, just for the fans that may be watching this, what's one of your most exciting songs that you're going to perform on stage?

Speaker 6:

as a dj. Uh, let me just say you should be there at the last song.

Speaker 11:

Okay.

Speaker 6:

And this tempo jump is going to be beautiful. At the same time, I've heard my friends and family hear it.

Speaker 15:

Wow.

Speaker 5:

It's a beautiful remix. How many BPMs?

Speaker 6:

Oh okay, I'm sorry, danny, I haven't told you yet, but I'm going to end it at 145 beats per minute. On a good note, though, it's going to be beautiful. I'm going to smooth it out, though, don't worry, I got you. That's amazing.

Speaker 5:

I can't wait. I love that energy feeling 145 BPMs. You're going to feel it in your heart, man.

Speaker 4:

It's going to come out of your chest, dude.

Speaker 5:

You're going to feel it.

Speaker 6:

Listen to that man, that would be great.

Speaker 5:

I can't wait to see all three stages performing at the same time. The film should be insane.

Speaker 6:

What's cool is this won't clash with the stage out there. This also won't clash with the stage that's over there too, Exactly so this is going to be really cool, just to hear.

Speaker 2:

There's going to be so much walking around that we've got to go. Yes, yes.

Speaker 6:

We've got artists from everywhere. Bro, I what you're going to wear, but at the same time, wear some comfy shoes man, you can jump in. I have a pre-ritual All our DJs. We have a pre-ritual Stretching water.

Speaker 2:

we do a little prayer yes, you need that, it's like a blessing. And then, after you're done, you switch to flip-flop.

Speaker 6:

Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I'll be chilling in one of these chairs. It's going to be awesome and I get to hang out with them, just hang out with all the artists. And it's cool because, yeah, once in a great while, we see each other. So, it's like a little holiday for us, like, oh shit, I haven't seen you in forever. How you been Granted. Like I said last time, we don't get to see each other outside of just being DJs.

Speaker 11:

So when we actually get to, hang out, it's awesome. Yeah.

Speaker 6:

So, you guys are more than welcome to come to my cookout.

Speaker 2:

Yo, yo what.

Speaker 5:

I invited you to the cookout I got you guys, I made it to the carne asada.

Speaker 2:

Come on, man, that's what I did last time, for real, for real.

Speaker 7:

Okay.

Speaker 6:

I got you guys, I'll definitely invite you Appreciate that Just chill vibes, you know, and we pick each other's minds.

Speaker 2:

Yes, and just buy it, that's important?

Speaker 6:

Yeah, no, key importance, man, and, like I said, I'm here to lift your spirits and have a good time, absolutely.

Speaker 5:

Well, I'm already feeling the energy now, man, I can't wait for the actual festival event. I'm going to be like fully detached from my body the day of, because right now I'm already getting excited. I'm like I I even supposed to be here. This does not feel real to me. So the day of, oh my God, I'm going to be so out of place, but I'm excited. The opportunity has been amazing. Happy to be here with you, martin. It's insane seeing the growth of all this because, broke Boys, originally this was not our initial plan, with none of this, if you asked us two months ago, we would have been like what, Even the beginning of it?

Speaker 2:

if you were to tell me, like Marlon, one day you're going to be at Chichester Park hosting a live event for a festival, I'd be, like you're smoking motherfuckers, never in a million years, would I picture that? But we're here, we're here, we're here, I can't wait to hear you guys' feedback after my set.

Speaker 13:

I want to blow your guys' minds. I hope so.

Speaker 6:

I specifically put a lot of different tracks in this. Just diversity. But I want to see your guys' reaction. I want to hear what you guys honestly think of how dance music has changed. I'm playing a little bit of Big Room in there too, A lot of sing-alongs, A lot of female vocal sing-alongs as well in there. So scream your heart out, sing your heart out and have some fun with it.

Speaker 2:

We can't wait, I'm telling you.

Speaker 5:

if you end up performing and I hear you play some shit that I know by heart, I'm dropping the mic and I'm.

Speaker 11:

I guarantee you 50% of what.

Speaker 6:

I'm playing you're going to know. Okay, but it's going to be remixed to something you've never heard before. Okay, word, I'm down with that. I'm down with that.

Speaker 16:

I'm down with that. I like hearing new music though I love that.

Speaker 5:

I love that. I'm excited, brother. So my other thing is that do you expect to see anybody else here at ArtHot that's going to be performing?

Speaker 6:

I've seen plenty of DJs that are going to play just outside, not even just in here. We had a little stage out there, some local new artists CeeLo she's fairly new. Yes, cheeks, I believe.

Speaker 11:

Yeah yeah, he's killing it out there, yeah, so a huge shout out to both you guys.

Speaker 6:

Love you guys Shout out, shout out yeah it was awesome. Heck yeah, they're over at Tioga. No, they're literally right here in the front, right here.

Speaker 2:

Oh snap, yeah, so yeah that's tight.

Speaker 5:

I don't know how to go make our way over there. Low key, yeah, might have to.

Speaker 6:

And I love just hearing that and passing out flyers. And Devin, I got you guys, I did not flyers Coming out here Coming by Perfect. The last bit of it.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah, we got another person wanting to come in right now.

Speaker 5:

Can't wait to see your shit man. Thank you Chopping it up with your brother.

Speaker 12:

Can't wait to see the energy of the day. It's going to be amazing.

Speaker 5:

Thank, you Much love. This is going to be amazing.

Speaker 2:

Y'all I love this All right, guys, we're here with Mike from Planet Vegan. My name is Mike. That's cool man, so tell us how long have you been doing food truck?

Speaker 10:

2019, like right before covid okay, yeah.

Speaker 2:

So what? What inspired you to start your first food truck?

Speaker 10:

uh, just to change the lifestyle. Honestly, it wasn't even me being a food truck owner. I just changed my whole lifestyle, tried the plant-based diet, uh, loved how I felt and then became a businessman after that how was the process?

Speaker 2:

I know that that must be a long and like hefty process from stopping eating meat and stopping eating like certain dairy products.

Speaker 10:

Yeah, yeah, I lost a lot of weight. It was crazy a lot of way. I go to the gym a lot, so lost a lot of weight. Uh, I guess my body was just used to the uh testosterone from the meat products so I had to basically, you know, switch lanes and get the, the protein, from the plants.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, that's dope, that's dope. So I got a question for you, mike, my name is d. Is DJ Nice to meet you, brother, really quick. So you know, I've been following your page for some years now, which is crazy Now seeing you in person. I seen the truck. I was like, oh snap, I'm going to have to tag him, shout him out real quick. You make your food look just as normal as, obviously, meat based products, but you make it look 10 times better. Yeah, I've make it look 10 times better. Yeah, I've seen the galaxy fries, bro. I've seen all the food you've got on that truck and I'm like dog. It's tempting, because I've tried vegan food and it's fire. I, bro, I've been waiting years to try it. So my biggest question is is when you first started this food truck, was it hard getting people in as customers? Was it a? Was it a struggle?

Speaker 10:

okay, I feel like, uh, me as an individual, I feel like I brought a lot of people in. Just being me, okay, yeah. Yeah, I play basketball out here in Fresno Okay word. I went to college in Oakland, california Okay word, I feel like people more. So tried it out, just being like me as a person, right you?

Speaker 5:

know. And then when they tasted the food, that's when the word of mouth kicked in Okay word word, so it all Okay word word. I love that man. And with that being said, man, hey, shout out to the Bay Area, by the way.

Speaker 10:

Oakland Florida. Oakland Florida. Yeah, married man Married Thunderbirds. I went there, played basketball there, great school.

Speaker 5:

Heck yeah, my family's from East Oakland and Richmond, so I definitely understand the feeling of that man.

Speaker 10:

And then, where do you really want out of the establishment? Uh, we ain't trying to get too big, we're still gonna take control of the quality of the food, right? Yeah? So I mean, take, take, take over california for sure, right? Yeah, maybe something in the bay area, maybe something in la as well, take it back. Other than that, we ain't trying to get too big, we want to more. So make this the spot that people come. Just how dog days is you know? They come into fresno to go see dog days. Right, come to fresno to get one of the hottest vegan foods in california, exactly yeah so that's.

Speaker 10:

That's pretty much. We're just gonna keep the staple here, yeah yeah, so you're gonna be here for dog days. I ain't gonna be here. I got work. I'm trying to get here later, though. I got work, I'll really be working. Hey, there ain't nothing wrong with that kitchen too. Yeah, yeah, ain't nothing wrong with that, you see, work pays off, though you see what it gave you.

Speaker 5:

You know what I'm saying All those years of work. So it's amazing, man. Well, we hope we can see you come out there, man. It's going to be a great festival. We're glad to see you here and take advantage and be able to at least see a little bit of what it's going to be.

Speaker 2:

But I mean it's amazing, brother. If there's any inspiring words that you want to give to the listener, Something that you've been through or have gone through and want to just tell everybody I've been through this but just know that it's not the end of the world Any inspiration that you want to give to the folks, Go ahead and.

Speaker 10:

Just don't give up, man. Stay consistent, like it, though you hurdles, I feel like it's all a test. You know we do a test man. We just squash them. We keep what we got to do. It's in you. You got to be in you, not on you. Right, you know. Be pure with it. Make sure you got a pure heart, make sure you move the right way and make sure you just treat people the way you want to be treated in life.

Speaker 2:

And you're always going to win, hell yeah.

Speaker 10:

Always Appreciate it, Appreciate y'all Absolutely brother.

Speaker 2:

Here we go. All right, boys, we got another guest on.

Speaker 5:

We got my boy right here. Go ahead and introduce yourself. Player.

Speaker 11:

Hey, my name is Carlos. I'm from Danuba, california. And what do you do, dude? Anything with music. Man Grew up playing the drums, learning on the guitar and everything producing music, making my own music, trying to make a name for myself, you know. Okay, word word.

Speaker 5:

Brother, I've been watching you for the past few. We met in 2024, right, right. So if y'all don't know that well, you probably won't know this first time introducing him. I met him when I was working for a solar company. He worked right across from me and this guy was one of the biggest people to transform me and means of trying to get me into the gym, trying to get my headspace right.

Speaker 5:

The craziest part was I just asked to use his forklift. I went across the way. I'm like, hey, bro, I need to move some cows. Can I, can I use your forklift? And he was like, yeah, bro, yeah, by all means, and I had my lexus at the time and he's super inspired by like cars and stuff. And so we start connecting, talking about cars. Long before you know it, we're sitting there for like two, three hours. Bro, it's already, the sun's already gone down, we're just yapping and we didn't make the best connection possible. And, crazy enough, he actually helped me produce my first beat and rap on the very first song I've ever rapped on yeah, dude.

Speaker 11:

Oh man, going back to those days, man, it means a lot to me, dude, it really does like sometimes when I doubt myself or something like it's, I always go back to those talks that we had from dude, those, like you said, those three hours or we'd be at the gym and, yes, we wouldn't even be going hard like that, bro, we were going through so much stuff at the time and, like bro, and when I tell you like he inspired me, like dude, from the cars to his worth work ethic, yeah, dog dj's always been like that man.

Speaker 2:

He's a down-to-earth homeboy for sure. He's always been he's. He's the one that's really been there for for everybody man. He sacrificed so much for a lot of people and a lot of people take that for granted and you know what man? Man, you deserve the highest, highest fucking things.

Speaker 5:

I can't say thank you without thanking everybody who's been there for me through it all, because, again, like you said, a lot of people take advantage of that.

Speaker 5:

It's the people who are humble and genuine enough to not take advantage of you that bring you up to the higher heights. If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't be on this podcast. If for you, I wouldn't be on this podcast. If it wasn't for you, brother, I wouldn't have been in that gym. You seen how hard it was getting me in there. I tried, bro, he tried so hard and I was like all right, I'll do it. I got social anxiety. I don't like being in public spaces, bro, and I mean look, look where I'm at now.

Speaker 11:

We're interviewing strangers, bro, you're talking dude, you're telling me I'm out right now. I don't, I do not like leaving my house. Yeah, dude, I I feel you man. I'm the same way.

Speaker 2:

And you would think like oh fuck, no, you got a podcast. You going to do this? Like hey, I'm still an introvert by heart man. I still don't like to go out.

Speaker 5:

Shout out B-Box bro, Y'all done. Loosened me up out here to be able to talk what I got to do bro.

Speaker 11:

It's crazy, just that whole drive that he had and and like bro again, I'm not, I wouldn't be in places like this. You know, you got me out here, you got me like networking. I done met so many people already and they already put me on and they're always like bro, like you got a passion, you got a fire, someone's gonna see you. You just gotta get yourself out there, you know. And so, being out here, you know, dude, I'm grateful, grateful to be here. I appreciate you for even having me on here, man.

Speaker 2:

You good, you good.

Speaker 11:

Yeah, cut in cut in We'll do a little power break real quick.

Speaker 5:

Gotta charge the phone. Ain't nothing wrong with that. Yeah, come on now. We gotta survive, bro, we gotta survive.

Speaker 2:

But going back to the whole thing, though, like it's important to know that you have people that inspire you and that are there for you and right and rooting for you. Even if it's one person, two people, whatever it is right, it doesn't matter, as long as you've got the passion and the drive for it. You got to keep it going, keeping on, and dj told me about you, and I was just like oh, absolutely, for me, it's anything that I'm willing to do to help out others. Right, there's nothing. There's nothing wrong with that, because I come from nothing. So, trust me, I've had a lot of trials and errors. So even helping one another ain't nothing wrong with that. I'm willing to help out, that's my thing.

Speaker 11:

That whole inspiration thing, dude, it goes a long ways and I was. I was in drum line in high school and like being a senior and all these freshmen's like looking up to you yeah and then it was to the point where, like I left high school and they were still hitting me up like, hey, can you help me on your off?

Speaker 7:

time, like when you're not working. Can you?

Speaker 11:

help me out, or I was even writing some of their stuff at the time and like, when you say like inspiration goes a long way, dude, I look at everywhere for inspiration. Yeah, your car, this podcast, bro, thank you. This is the reason why I'm here, because if there was no podcast, this wouldn't have happened, right?

Speaker 11:

we wouldn't be meeting these like meeting up here and I wouldn't have met these people and, like bro, I'm so thankful, grateful and appreciative of just even being in the presence of everyone here, you know we're grateful to have you on here, bro, because, again, I see talent.

Speaker 5:

I know talent. I know when I see hard work and effort, bro, and that's what we're here for Trying to put on for the smaller artists that are trying to make a name for themselves, but also being a genuine and humble podcast to be able to bring the city up along with us. And we're not expecting nothing from nobody. The thing is is, if you come on here and you're being genuine and you're doing what you got to do, bro, we want to see you succeed and that's why I was so happy to see you, because I was like, bro, it was so random.

Speaker 5:

He pulls up in the parking lot and he's talking to the homie keesey. He's like, oh my boy, dj. And I turn around. I'm like who the fuck is that? And I see him. I'm like, oh shit, like, and we just got to the parking lot. So timing is everything, bro, right and it's just. It's been amazing being able to see the people that believe in you the most with anything that you do. I mean, I haven't seen this dude since I worked at the solar company.

Speaker 11:

It's been since 20, that was, since 2024, in like may, bro, we never lost contact and we're always keeping up with each other and and I even told you off, bro I'm always rooting for you. Everything you got, you got my number and everything like. Likewise, if you need help with anything, bro, like I got you like, even if it's like music for this, interviews, anything like, I'll put everything. And even if you turn it down like, nah, this isn't what we want, all right, here goes another try, because my whole thing is trial and error. You know what I'm saying, right? But man, dude, I'm just again I'm lost of words because, like, I do not like cameras, I do not like talking.

Speaker 11:

I'm a producer first so like being around this, like it's not me, but I mean again you, you, you encourage me to get out here, do this. Yeah, you know, meet all these people, right?

Speaker 5:

so, yeah, you never know what you'll run into, you never know where to lead you to just taking that, that step out. I've had to do that so many times in these past few years, like being on the podcast me and him both were camera shy. The homie, the homie isaac. He got uh the same dji that we have and he was like, oh, let's vlog, let's do this, let's do that. We went to san jose, uh, earlier this year and we were in the mall and I had the dji and I'm filming them inside the, the store and the whole time I'm just like. People probably think I'm weird, but in the back of my mind I'm like, bro, fuck it, just keep going. Someday people are going to be like yo. I wish I could do that in public, the same way that I'm shelled up inside doing the same thing.

Speaker 11:

You know, bro, even when it comes down to like I've been wanting to make videos for my music, that I make the hardest shit ever, man, yeah, like being it's not even being in front of people, bro. I could be like in my backyard with no one watching me, yeah, and just being in front of the camera, I'm like, oh no. But I think that also comes from a perfectionist standpoint, because like for me, I want everything to be perfect so I can have a great take. But then I'm like oh, that one second yeah, I'm not gonna I'm not gonna upload it.

Speaker 11:

and then it came to the, the point where you were telling me about because you used to make videos from your cars the Lexus, and you're like, at the end of the day, the mistakes doesn't matter as long as it gets seen. And that's what made me. I don't know if you remember, but I made some videos at a certain point and I was putting it out.

Speaker 6:

And.

Speaker 11:

I look back and it was bad quality and everything, but it's all a part of the process.

Speaker 6:

You learn from it.

Speaker 11:

Bro, I watched the podcast. So when you were saying like you had learned you had some videos but you didn't press record and stuff, yeah, trial and error, right, right. And so, yeah, man, just keep on going. I mean this year I had to take a break. Mental and health issues happen being in the ER and stuff like that.

Speaker 11:

But now I'm back up and I was telling DJ, we got to get one where it's like very intimate yeah from from my start and everything, because, bro, my, my reach is so far and and I know a lot of people that I can even help you guys get interacted with, because my whole thing was okay. I'm a producer first, so let me help others first before I even help myself you know right and um, I I got a homie too, like he. He has this crazy drive and when I'm down he picks me up, and when he's down I pick him up.

Speaker 11:

That thing and it's all music and and even at that, hopefully you guys interview him one day and we could get something I hope so absolutely, man.

Speaker 2:

Well, thank you for coming on, man I appreciate it and we'll definitely link up afterwards.

Speaker 5:

Man, it's something that you deserve yeah, we're gonna have to really deep dive in the next interview. I'm excited, bro. I'm glad you came out here.

Speaker 15:

Dog for real thanks for this opportunity of course man, thank you, hell yeah yes, oh god, I look like a sports reporter yeah, yeah, you look oh my God, make it official right now.

Speaker 2:

Oh God, espn.

Speaker 15:

Oh yeah, Eagles do better.

Speaker 5:

Wait, are you a Cowboys fan, Isaac? I know you saw that. I know you heard that. Yeah.

Speaker 15:

Whoever's a Cowboys fan is. I bet you're a very nice person, but I'm very upset, right now, hell yeah, welcome, all right.

Speaker 14:

So Hell yeah, welcome Alright. So we're here today and damn, it's loud.

Speaker 2:

Yes, oh, yes, go ahead and introduce yourself to everybody out here, bro. Oh yeah, absolutely.

Speaker 15:

Sorry if you can't hear the music behind me, you'd be dancing too. My name is Anthony Haddad. I'm a Fresnonian, a Fresnanian, whatever you want to call us.

Speaker 2:

Oh my god, this is so loud, we get it. Your voice is working.

Speaker 11:

Yes, I can't even hear myself talking I can't, I'm holding stuff.

Speaker 5:

All right, let's do a pause break real quick. This is going to be big Dance break.

Speaker 2:

Hey, hey, hey.

Speaker 15:

Oh, he's a.

Speaker 5:

Raiders fan, so he knows losses.

Speaker 2:

I'll pray for him. It's only getting louder, I know yeah.

Speaker 15:

I'm glad that I'm wearing these honestly, because I had to grab the third one.

Speaker 2:

I was just like doing some of them talking to some people I was like, oh yeah, I need a third one. Oh yeah, absolutely it's rough. Hey, what's up? I'm going to get third gear. What's up, mike? How you doing? My man bro, I couldn't hear you. I got the mic and everything.

Speaker 15:

I'm recording. Welcome to the outtakes. Good to see you, bro.

Speaker 5:

Good to see you, dj.

Speaker 2:

Where's everybody at?

Speaker 3:

Where's everyone at I'm recording with my friends today? Yeah, let me just get a bit of a better record.

Speaker 5:

Okay, Okay. This is just outtakes, Bro. It's intense. Imagine the day of no. I know.

Speaker 6:

The crowd is going to be insane bro, and the thing is, we're going to be right up towards the front.

Speaker 15:

Yes, so I'm expecting to be completely down.

Speaker 16:

You're going to be down. Oh yeah, I'll give it 20 minutes.

Speaker 15:

I'm giving myself right now five, and I have a headset on.

Speaker 5:

Yes, yes, sound deafening, by the way. Oh which I mean thank you.

Speaker 15:

This is probably the best time for me to be up here because I've been standing over there and I'm like I'm going to die, Like this is it? Dog Days has taken Anthony down.

Speaker 2:

God, it's starting to lower Right when we talk. It's going to fucking bump up again, yeah.

Speaker 5:

Damn, these mics are loud. I love the pregame feeling of it all.

Speaker 15:

Yeah, behind the stage, what's up? What a vibe.

Speaker 2:

All right, can you hear me right there? You can barely hear us but a little bit. What, what, what? Let me get you in the frame.

Speaker 16:

Oh my God, man, what's up man? We turned up live with the best podcast in the building.

Speaker 16:

You know what, man? I'm super hyped to see these guys here. I've seen them doing works behind the scenes. I think that you know they're doing a lot of great stuff for Fresno and you know what? Let's keep turning this thing up, man. Make sure you follow them. I go by the name of Johnny Donatello and this is the podcast you guys want to watch. Man, big stuff. I'm ready to see you guys do big stuff with big. You know what I mean Bigger stars, like you know it's. We're here with the Fresno's finest. All we got is today, man.

Speaker 5:

That's right.

Speaker 16:

How long have you guys been doing this podcast? I've been doing it for three years.

Speaker 5:

I joined in a little bit later. I was on a two year run.

Speaker 16:

The interviewer just became the interviewee. Thank you. Tell us a little bit about how this got started. You guys got Different demographics of the crew, so the way that everything started the way that everything started. Tell us a little bit about how this got started.

Speaker 2:

You know you guys got. I see different demographics of the crew. So the way that everything started, the way that everything started was definitely out of hopes and dreams. I was working in the fields. I've been working in the fields for almost 11 years Now. I'm a truck driver. So you see a transition from my life from the beginning of the podcast. Okay To like where it's at now.

Speaker 7:

Wait, why are you guys hiding? Now you guys are a part of it.

Speaker 16:

You guys are all part of the podcast.

Speaker 15:

No, I'm not.

Speaker 16:

Oh, I thought you were part of the podcast, I was like, hey, man, they're trying to get every demographic.

Speaker 2:

They got a brown a white guy, a black guy.

Speaker 16:

I was like hey, yo, you guys got it all.

Speaker 15:

And this is Fresno, cultural diversity right here, and and we're a melting pot, yeah, and I'm half Palestinian as well, so I pull in a little bit of flavor. I know it doesn't look like it, man I know so is that your riz right there?

Speaker 16:

Yeah, that's my riz.

Speaker 15:

That's actually how I get free drinks. At a bar I always talk to somebody. I was like, if you can guess my ethnicity In five tries, I'll buy you a drink. If not, you have to buy me one.

Speaker 16:

I've gotten many free drinks now I feel like a jerk. I just feel like I just came up here rudely interrupted. So what do you?

Speaker 15:

do. What do you? Um, so, my, yeah, I got you my full-time job. I actually work as a reporter and then after work, I get to do fun things like this. Um, I travel throughout california for festivals. I just covered outside lands. Well, who do you report for? Uh, gv wire here in fresno, oh, okay, dope, yeah. So, uh, it's an online digital and then, uh, I do this.

Speaker 16:

Uh, well, digital is the wave right oh yeah, I mean I just did a two white heart radio interviews. I saw that. I saw that crazy man and it's crazy. Like you know, I was just in riverside on monday with nick mack and it's like it's crazy to think about how the power of digital is so strong.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 16:

That I was here with Carmen here in town and she was. Like you know, my station actually plays out in the coast too. Oh, really, like Santa Cruz area and all of that.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 16:

I'm like, wow, that's crazy. You know, you got the station here in Fresno, you can reach the world yeah.

Speaker 2:

Very much like you guys. Man, I appreciate that. Man, all right, so just to kind of continue going what you were saying. So, okay, you worked in the field. Yes, I worked in the field since I was 13, so I did it for 11 years and then I got into trucking uh, career shift for sure.

Speaker 2:

So you're mexican yeah, oh, straight born, first generation, uh, here, um, so definitely definitely trying to do big things. I've been doing this podcast for three years. It was always a side thing that I enjoyed doing and I did it for self love, reflection, all that, and it just it did, it did good. Somehow, some way I I grew a good fan base. I'm on Spotify, iheartradio, pandora, I mean, the list goes on and on.

Speaker 16:

Um, I would. The one thing that I do say to everybody is you can go ahead and Google Broke Boys from Fresno and it's going to pop up a whole thing. So you're pulling out the Google me card. I gotta pull it out. Mance is getting a little fancy up here it's intimidating.

Speaker 2:

When I had the meeting with Devin and I told him yeah, I try to reach out to all the artists. One of the things that I put on is if you don't believe anything of who I am, do some research. Google broke boys from fresno, so that way it just shows like hey, it further validates my message. So here's the question right.

Speaker 16:

What's up? The? The, the concept is broke boys. At some point, this success and you're no longer a broke boy, so does that change the podcast absolutely?

Speaker 2:

not broke boys is represented, representation of when you go through a lot of things, whether it's mental health, whether it's financial problems, whether it's anything that you go through in life mishap, failures, you name it. That's the reason why it was broken. And then, when I came up with the concept with boys, it's just because you have to evolve into being a man. Okay, so Broke Boys. And then, obviously, I'm from Fresno, yeah, so born and raised Dropping gems, damn All right.

Speaker 16:

So no, I like it, man. You know, part of what I do, man, is I mean, I feel like I'm a tool of all trades. I'm actually about to perform here. I probably should get going because of my sense at any time. Yeah, man, I just see you guys doing your thing. I was like how can you guys hear anything? I was like, yeah, my head is shaking you know and I can go over there we tried doing it right now and it was just loud, yeah.

Speaker 16:

So, hey, man, congratulations on your success appreciate it, yeah yeah, and you know, amazing to know that you have two cultures free palestine, right? You know it's like I'm sure that's a big thing and then you bringing that out, I mean, it's only going to let the information get out there in the world. We just want peace in the world. That's it, man. We want to be able to pull up to Home Depot and ice is not waiting there. Exactly the only ice we like is inside of a freezer.

Speaker 3:

Yes, sir.

Speaker 16:

So it's just those kind of things. You know, in Fresno, california, a lot of things could stop people from really becoming successful. There's a lot of hate in the world and you guys are showing a little piece of love in a small place, man, so congratulations to your success.

Speaker 15:

All right brother, appreciate it, brother. Thank you very much, I man. Thank you that was dope.

Speaker 16:

It was a pleasure to meet you, man.

Speaker 2:

Thank you all right, anthony, very nice to meet you.

Speaker 16:

You got each other on Instagram, oh yeah yeah, I think I got you, yeah, yeah. I'll find you Johnny. Donatello.

Speaker 2:

Johnny Donatello yeah, awesome all right, it's great just to have people come around and just be confident enough to just come and just say what's up and I like that, I like that 100 and I felt like an honorary broke boy.

Speaker 15:

Oh yeah, like it was great I was in here. I felt like I was part. You were like I'm leaving. Oh yeah, if you saw me no, no no, yeah, watch the clip.

Speaker 15:

I'm like handing my headset over. I'm like interview done. Yeah, I was like I'll go stand on the side. It's totally, totally fine. But that's something I think is really, really big about the culture here in Fresno is that when people see this we don't see this often A whole setup. We have people podcasting out here in Chukchansi Park. We don't normally get this. This is a very LA, this is very San Francisco, but it's growing here in Fresno.

Speaker 15:

People care about what's happening in fresno yes uh, as much as people are like, oh, I want to live in a big city, we are becoming a big city, yeah, uh, and we're getting to the point where, uh, the people here we're, we're big enough to do something, yes, like, uh, I'm now stuttering, I'm getting very passionate on it.

Speaker 15:

Actually hold on, I had a sin in my mouth. Don't tell my mother, but we have the Chainsmokers headlining. We have Sage the Gemini, we have Ian Dior, we have Pee Lo. We have so many people that are coming out to little Fresno, california, and sure it's going to be hot. We're used to being hot. We're coming out to little Fresno, california, and sure it's going to be hot. We're used to being hot. We're hot already. Yeah, and if you say no in the comments, I swear. But this is us, this is Fresno, and we have enough people to make these things successful. Yes, we just need to stop doubting it and being like, hey, this is not a big city, so why are we trying?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah, exactly. And then I think that's the whole point is that, beginning this, I even told everybody why do I feel like I have to leave Fresno to do something big? Why not showcase this? This is home, this is where we're from, so I'm going to enlighten it, no matter what. So, literally a few days ago, we were on this parking garage on the other side and we shot a whole video, a whole podcast episode, in the night, sunset, with our sponsor Never Trusted.

Speaker 2:

So I've always told myself, like I'm going to get a power generator, a little one, and I want to go mobile. I don't want to get a studio, I don't need a fancy studio, I just want to go to people, I just want to go have fun. If I want to go to the beach and record an episode at the beach, why not? Yeah, and I did one at the lake. So the beach one is definitely coming for sure. But it's a process that you got to start and you got to continue doing. Oh, yeah, and for you, I mean, how is it hard? I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm studying.

Speaker 15:

Oh no, you're all good. So there's so much love out here that you're kind of just wrapped into it. Earlier today we were talking about watching each other's content. We all bonded together and then at this point we're all best friends. It's one of those things where we don't even need to talk to each other, but it's a podcast and we have to talk but yeah, no, and also real quick on the ocean and going to the beach one. It has to be Pismo, because that is a little Fresno, but yeah what were you saying?

Speaker 2:

How is it being a reporter? What are the ups, the downs? What was your journey like in the beginning?

Speaker 15:

Yeah, so the journey is very interesting. I actually started at Bitwise here in Fresno. I was working for a fraternity before that, so I was actually traveling to Canada all across the East Coast. Wow, came back for Bitwise. I was here during the demise of Bitwise.

Speaker 2:

Nice.

Speaker 15:

And then was unemployed for about five months, then found GV Wire, which was actually the organization that outed Bitwise's financial struggles and really broke that news, and so I kind of fell together and I'm very lucky to be a part of it, and so my full-time job is reporting, but when I'm after hours I get to do these fun entertainment, social interactions, and so it really gives me kind of dual citizenship in a way where I'm able to be out here, speak with people, and it doesn't always have to be a hard-hitting story or a hard-hitting beat. There it goes again.

Speaker 2:

So they've been sound-checking all night and the sound works, and I don't know how much we need to tell them the same because you can hear it and I'm glad that people are going to see this and this is going to be the highlight pretty soon, in a few days and even tomorrow, for giddy up. Are you going to be there for giddy up and groove?

Speaker 15:

I'm not sure quite yet yeah.

Speaker 15:

I've been actually slacking on the gym workouts this week, so got to get back on the routine 100%. It is really taken a tool. But, um, I I'm going to try to at least be here for a little bit tomorrow, a little bit on Sunday as well, where EDM really takes center stage. Um, but I know the main course is dog days, which is amazing that it started at Fresno state and now it's starting to. It's this man, like I remember when I was younger and I said this in my video that went out, I think, today yeah, I saw it today yeah, all the days are one um, but uh it.

Speaker 15:

It's so funny to see where we watch the grizzlies, where we watch banana ball, where we watch all these things now being covered in these, uh, white tiles. Right, yeah, these white tiles. And if I was to look at a picture of just the stage in the set, I would think that I'm at outside lands, I would think that I'm at coachella, like I would think I'm elsewhere. But again, when you look around, you see fresno's iconic historic buildings that we see and I know for a lot of people when they're coming down the 99 and they see it in the horizon, they're like shit, I'm home, yeah.

Speaker 15:

But this is home, and so let's make the best of it, and that's what the organizers here at Dog Days Fest is doing.

Speaker 2:

Oh yeah, that's good. That's good to hear. Man, is there anything that you want to say to the listeners, or to anybody you shout out, or any inspirational things that you want to tell them, whether it's content creation, whether it's reporting, whether it's just life?

Speaker 15:

Yeah, absolutely. Um, I have a couple things. So my name is Anthony Haddad. You can follow me on social media. Anthony W Haddad the W is for Waseem, in Arabic that means handsome. So my parents really helped him.

Speaker 15:

Try and tried, um, you be the judge, but not in the comments, um. But the other thing I have to say is the people of this podcast are so genuine and authentic, and I truly do mean that. That's not just you can cut the cameras dead, ass, um. But truly the feeling of home, the feeling of family and listening to their stories as well, to understand why they got here and why they are doing this. It is not for money, it is not for clout, it is not to feel like you're better than anybody else. It is to be a part of the community and show off the big parts of the community.

Speaker 15:

And I just met them literally what was it? 45 minutes ago, an hour ago, something like that. And the conversation I already had is like I'm going to be watching all of their podcasts. I'm going to be trying to be on all these podcasts. I am now the third. Is it only usually you two? I'm the third broke boy, but it's B-O-I. But it's truly genuine and I'm so glad I know that we were talking to, um uh, mr Donatello, a little earlier um, that you all are getting that following because it's deserved. It is not something that it's. You guys are not pushing an agenda. Besides, this is Fresno, this is family. Everyone that is walking past us right now is part of our community.

Speaker 11:

Yes, and honestly.

Speaker 15:

That's a big message. Obviously, follow me on Instagram and social medias if you want to. I'm not going to say no, dm me if you want. Send me memes. Be funny, I love it, but accidentally licked the mic. Don't DM me that stuff. But I definitely do want to tell your audience that meeting y'all in person. It is exactly what you're getting on the podcast.

Speaker 5:

And thank you for that. I appreciate that.

Speaker 2:

That means a lot.

Speaker 5:

We stand on that, you know, being genuine and creating genuine connections bro, I forgot, I muted your mic. No, that was already muted. There you go, there you go, there you go.

Speaker 15:

Yeah, yeah, see here he doesn't even want him on.

Speaker 5:

He's good man, because I feel like a lot of people think of podcasts and they're like oh, it's scripted, like y'all probably already know this person beforehand. As you guys have been seeing, this entire time we've just been bringing people on. People have been just coming on. Yeah, one of my homies, my boy Dion, shout out to UZ Dion, he's in the scene right now. But it's just insane. This is genuinely how it is. We're not here pushing some agenda. Like you said, it's making genuine connections and putting on for Fresno, giving the people a voice that they deserve, without the strings attached, of course. Thank you for being on.

Speaker 15:

Of course and seriously, because we were speaking a little bit earlier about this too A lot of people may have an agenda, especially in the bigger cities. When I was at Outside Lands, I had the pleasure of meeting a lot of media and some that were a little bit more guarded.

Speaker 11:

And they wanted their content.

Speaker 15:

They wanted to get in and get out, and some of us, we just went around. We ended up in front of stages and it was probably the most wild thing in my life, and so what I saw is that me being genuine and meeting genuine people that actually care is what this is truly about. Yes, like obviously. Yes, I do love to watch my follower number go up, I love to watch the views go up, but it's not because I'm like, oh, this, now I can influence you to get some of this soap. Like you think I use soap, come on now. But it's more so of like I want to share this, I want to share so for a lot of people when they go to festivals, they can't go to those festivals.

Speaker 15:

Share that Share the stories, the experiences and, like you said, meeting random people. We're not here to bite. Stop it, stop it, stop it in the comments.

Speaker 17:

I see you trying to type.

Speaker 15:

I get it. I'm not here to yuck your yum. We're Fresnans and we want this community to thrive. We want this community to get better, and the way that we can get better is things like this being together, being able to, uh, just communicate and oh hey, edward, um, and be a family yeah, yeah, one thousand percent.

Speaker 5:

We appreciate you coming on here. Man, it's been a blessing seeing you.

Speaker 2:

Meeting you for the first time, yes, it's been insane brother and we definitely got to link up again and do something more uh intimate. Like I said, uh, if you watch all my other episodes like these aren't going to be quick interviews like this. It's a full commitment, it's a full thing to just dive deep. Whatever you want to talk about, anything it could be entertainment and you're such a I can sense. You're charismatic, I can sense your aura. You're an incredible person and you are genuine as well, Thank you.

Speaker 15:

Thank you for being on and I appreciate you, man. Thank you so much. Thank you. And then, who's cutting the chat? Just kidding, just kidding. But no, I would love to be on because this is fun. Heck, yeah, man Heck yeah, and sorry, I sweat all over the place.

Speaker 2:

They also have shirts, shorts, socks, lo que quieras. Every design has a little background to it. So, yeah, go ahead and check them out. Their link is going to be in the description of all the episodes they are sponsoring, um dog days as well. So big shout out. Speaker 3:

All right. So what's going on, man? What's the segment? What's?

Speaker 2:

the segment. Oh no, we're just talking about dog days, really. Anything but go ahead and introduce yourself to the viewers, the listeners, everybody, bro.

Speaker 3:

Got you man. I don't know if you guys have ever seen anything that you know me and my team have done. We are with Grizzly Talk man Shout out right here. Broke Boys, martin Mass, my boy, right here.

Speaker 11:

We have still yet to collab, bro. I know, man, we've been busy, so we're making it happen. Yeah, yeah, we've been busy, we've got to make it happen.

Speaker 3:

But, bro, we took like a little step off the gas and we're getting some more stuff ready.

Speaker 2:

You guys got a lot of projects.

Speaker 3:

We're getting ready to make that next run and we're going to call it season two, so we're going to take one from your book, bro. Hey, there you go. Yeah, yeah, yeah, and it's like all right season two new levels, new guests, new equipment, new setup. Make that shit run, bro.

Speaker 2:

Best time man, heck.

Speaker 5:

yeah, I'm excited to see this, bro. And then, on top of that, I mean seeing you as a content creator as well, with, uh, grizzly talks. I mean, you've been climbing, you've been coming up, brother, I've been watching thank you, brother, thank you, I feel like. This is an amazing collaboration. I'm excited to see you on bro heck. Yeah, what are you most excited to see about dog days?

Speaker 3:

man, honestly, it's just like having a group like chain smokers, right, like it's like creating a whole nother way, bro. It's like we haven't seen anything this big right since. Uh, what is it? Uh, grizzly fest, right. So it's like bringing that same energy here. So it's like, when, you know, grizzly fest started, it started, or well, it didn't start here, but it grew into this space, right, and you know, eventually was able to make it to woodward.

Speaker 3:

So I'm like devin's killing him, bro like I'm excited to see what he brings, man, because everything's been dope. But I mean all the artists like I saw, like I'm just throw my favorite on on there, like Bankroll Hayden's gonna be out here shout out. Eli right here um, you know, pilo's gonna be out here. I'm blanking right now. You're good, you're good you're good, trust me.

Speaker 5:

I got on here. I was like bro, I don't even know what I'm going to be talking. Yeah, summer ray's gonna be out here too.

Speaker 3:

So I'm like man, that's all I'm just. I'm even excited for tomorrow with uh louis the singer. That's like one of my first like country artists that I got into. Type you know.

Speaker 5:

So yeah, you actually went to um and like interviewed some of the artists and some of the fans at one of the events, didn't you?

Speaker 3:

you. Yeah, we've done a few events. So when we started last year, we ended up getting into what was it? The first event we ever did was Hot Girl Halloween and then from there we did Taco Truck Throwdown. So we got an opportunity to interview some of those artists and that was big.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, yeah, they packed all of it. Oh bro, always yeah they packed all of it.

Speaker 3:

Oh bro, always bro. Taco Truck Throwdown's coming up soon too. So, bro, that's another must-have man. Yeah, yeah, 100% yeah yeah, yeah. What about you guys? What are you guys excited for?

Speaker 5:

Realistically, brother, I'm excited for all of it because I mean, I'm a huge EDM, huge rap fan and even like latin music, like recently, reggaeton has been something that I've been getting in the groove of, and I mean just trying to learn spanish and learn the vibe of it all. So I'm excited for all of it, but mainly, I would say audacious. I mean, he's already again. He's put a staple on me. I'm like, all right, I gotta see this dude on perform on set. I'm excited for him. And then, um, I would definitely have to say nostalgalgics and probably Pee-Lo, yeah, pee-lo, yeah.

Speaker 3:

Hey, pee-lo throws on the show, bro.

Speaker 5:

Yes, he does yes he does Heck, yeah, so, and then Martin.

Speaker 2:

Dude. I've said it before, I want to see the Fresno artists. I want to see the Fresno scene to really pop off, like, yeah, seeing the Chainsmokers, seeing Ian, those are going to be good names, for sure they'll throw a good party. But it's more about Fresno bass, it's more about the people, the artists. So I'm really excited to see them and showcase them. We just did interviews with a few of them and it was great. I loved every single one of them and they're so genuine and so humble. I can't wait to see all of them. Three stages, man.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, that's massive bro it they get the platform here in Fresno. Yes, everybody's going to get a chance to see them and, honestly, like when you see a live performer for the first time, that's when you become a fan and that's when it resonates the most and that's like, all right, you're going to, you're going to follow that, right, that's a true fan base, for sure. That's tight, yeah, but I'm, and yeah, we'll be out here.

Speaker 2:

Man, that's good man, it's a move man, it's good to see you man. Yeah, you too. How's things been? You guys are all you guys, like I said, projects after projects man.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, yeah, yeah, we kind of spread out and so we're doing, like you know, a few different sectors, so we've just been trying to get that going.

Speaker 5:

But we're getting ready to a collab, a full episode.

Speaker 2:

I'm excited for that, bro. Yeah, yeah, we haven't done a collaboration with any other podcast here in fresno other than uh, between pods, yeah, and caesar man shout out caesar, shout out between the pods man.

Speaker 3:

Another amazing podcast.

Speaker 5:

That's a dude that I haven't seen put like. He's been putting in so much work for all this and I love to see it, bro, I just met caesar what was it two days ago? Three days ago when he pulled up yeah, and I was like okay, yeah, this man means business and he brings the energy, bro, yeah yes, he does.

Speaker 5:

So it was amazing and, uh, I can't wait to see what further collabs we can make with all the artists here, all the people who are putting on for fresno, uh, just in the social media industry, even the artists that are on the outside of it just trying to make a name for themselves. You know what I'm saying. But uh, yeah, the future collaboration is gonna be hot yeah, I can't wait.

Speaker 3:

No, well, shout out to y'all bro, you guys have been killing it bro. Thank, everybody sees the work, ethic bro, and that's like pushing and pushing, and pushing. So shout out to y'all guys, you guys been killing it bro, making some noise bro. So, dude, keep, keep crushing bro, keep crushing man.

Speaker 2:

it's it, brother. It's a lot of time, it's a lot of sacrifice, literally. I told DJ I was like man. I got to clock in at 3 am. After this, damn bro, got to go home, try to quick little nap and then back to it. That's the dedication man, that's where it comes in.

Speaker 3:

And that's where the worth ethic shows, because, yeah, man, full-time at least I'm not, you know, I don't know about y'all, but it's like, hey, you, you put in your nine to five, bro, and then you put in your passion project right after right.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, exactly it's full time, working full time and then also coming here and doing content creation full time, right, and uh, it's. It's a lot of sacrifices, but you're you're doing it. This is the passion, this is what you want to do exactly, and you guys are all doing it, man, you guys are, you guys are big yes, shout out Grizzly Talk.

Speaker 3:

Hey, we're all coming up together, bro. We're all making a name for Fresno, bro. Yeah, dude, let's keep putting everybody on the map, bro.

Speaker 2:

Oh yeah, yeah, who knows, let's be that platform. You know Absolutely. Who knows, the next Dog Day Festival, grizzly Talks and Broke Boys will do a whole host.

Speaker 3:

Speaker 5:

Speaker 14:

Speaker 2:

Are you guys going to be here for dog days?

Speaker 14:

No, I'm hoping to. Yeah, that's the plan. I'm always out After work. I'm hoping to yeah, okay, that's the plan. I'm always out, you know. Yeah, after work I'm always out.

Speaker 5:

Any event, it's like I'm always there, you know yeah we love to see the grind, we love to see the energy. We need more people like that, because right now it's we got artists that are performing, trying to do their own thing, but we need a voice to it. We need people to come out, they perform and show what they're passionate about. So I mean, I'm glad we got you on here, man, you pulling up like that. I was like yo, I know this dude got something to tell.

Speaker 2:

We've been out here for a minute, so, yeah, to have the courage to come on like thank you, man One thing about me is I always like to be everywhere.

Speaker 14:

I'm not afraid to do this, do that, whatever you know, yeah, that's good. Yeah, at least like like with people like my friends. They're shy, more, so it's like they. They look. He asked me like hey, like what's that? That's what I'm like. I asked you guys, yeah, and like I'm like if I could have fun, that'd be cool.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah, absolutely yeah yeah, so we're just doing interviews. We're getting people, some people come on, some people have been coming up to us and and top chopping it up. We've just been on on the live real quick, just real quick, but that's good that you came on, man. So, um, what else do you do besides your guys's group?

Speaker 14:

um well, I'm trying to start my own little rap career and all that. Okay, no progress right now, but like in due time, in due time no yeah you got to start somewhere. Yeah, I'm working on a little song. You know like I just got the beat there. I don't got any lyrics on it yet. Okay, but right now, like when I get home, probably gonna lay some lyrics out there.

Speaker 2:

So like, yeah, whenever you want to do something with linkedin. We did some interviews already with the artists that are performing. We already had some people come on.

Speaker 5:

All right, so be tapped in for sure, for sure yeah, brother, and then really quick, like what's one of the biggest songs right now that you guys have out right now?

Speaker 14:

um, right now with the group we don't really have anything. It's just like little, okay, like covers, yeah, yeah and all that. But ain't nothing wrong, it's my homie. Like sometimes I hop on my homie, his name is aaron, okay, um, he has songs out right now too. Yeah, no kid, I'm not gonna lie, I might sound like a bad friend, but like I kind of forgot the name of his group.

Speaker 14:

It's alright, it's alright, it's more like a one man group and all that you know. So like whatever works for him, at least he's getting out there and all that right we want to see more artists out here.

Speaker 5:

Come up, man. So it's amazing seeing people out here. Man, I love the energy, I love being able to put on for Fresno, and then you got his.

Speaker 14:

Instagram. Yeah Well, the name of his group is called Alencia Noreira.

Speaker 5:

Got it.

Speaker 14:

Got it Got it.

Speaker 2:

Shout out to the group that are watching. Hopefully you guys can see this clip. Oh my God, y'all better pay attention.

Speaker 14:

This is one of his songs. I guess that's one of his songs. I guess that's one of his songs that he has out right now. Okay, word, word, word, there's an old EP out there and all that, so you hear Fresno bass.

Speaker 2:

You live out of town. I live here in Fresno.

Speaker 14:

That's right, that's tight.

Speaker 2:

I was glad that you were representing and coming out here and being a part of this whole scene and hopefully we get to see more of you and keep posting and you guys can tag us on Instagram. You guys can follow us. I'll give you guys my username and everything.

Speaker 14:

And me I feel like as a Chicano, I like being out there.

Speaker 11:

brown pride and all that you know.

Speaker 14:

I like representing. It's just that. One thing I don't like is like, oh, that food's a cholo and all that, like, nah, I'm Chicano. Yeah, a hundred percent Parents from Mexico, I'm from here, you know. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But I feel like being out here, with toda la raza y todo eso pues. It's like, oh, this food's out here representing his pride. He's not afraid to do it, I'm not afraid to. So I I like being out here, like having fun, showing everyone that they can have fun too. Sometimes I'm the one who has to start the dances, but I ain't tripping because I like being the energy.

Speaker 14:

I like having people come out because, like, if you're going to come out, it's might as well have fun with it, you know.

Speaker 5:

Yes, sir.

Speaker 14:

So it's just like just come in there. And somebody else ain't doing it, do it. Oh yeah, there's more of a reason to do it Exactly so it's like just come out here, have fun, do all of that. At the end of the day, every Mexican people, they're out here doing their stuff.

Speaker 5:

I got a question who's your?

Speaker 14:

biggest inspiration for your grupo. That's a hard one for me. It's like the OG Ariel Camacho and all that you know. Okay, RIP the legend.

Speaker 14:

RIPp, the legend, for sure. But like I do a group, like I do say when that was okay, but I prefer banda, okay, yeah, I want that record and all that you know. So I prefer playing that more than than group, but okay. But being in a group it's so fun because you're out there meeting new people, yes, you're out there giving, giving the people what they want, what they want to hear and all that, yeah. So when you're doing because it's a job, yeah, but also when it's a job, it's like you're out there having fun you know it's not like you're gonna take it serious.

Speaker 14:

Yeah, it don't feel like a job when you're having fun with it, exactly like you're always having fun when you're out there playing and all that, yeah. So it's like let's say, I go play for you guys and you guys have fun for me. It's like I'm keeping these people entertained because they're all dancing, all that. I don't really think about it as a job oh yeah, that's tight, man.

Speaker 2:

Well, it was a pleasure meeting you, man. Thank you for hopping on, of course, of course we'll follow you guys go ahead and we'll link up right now with the socials and everything. But, uh, give the wise words or give people something that you want to say, anything inspirational, whether it's starting your journey, starting something, let them know if you, if you guys want to do something, just put your guys's mind to it and do 100.

Speaker 14:

There's always going to be haters in this world, but as long as you block out those haters and you do everything right in this life, if you don't have no haters, you ain't doing nothing that's right, that's, that's right.

Speaker 5:

That's right, brother, that's right.

Speaker 8:

Honestly, being out here like this with the people is dope.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it's dope, man yeah, originally we were like maybe we'll flip everything around, show off everybody walking around, but then, uh, we just didn't want people to be feeling comfortable or anything like that. So we were like you know what, we'll just focus right here have people come over here if they want to tell you and I know you guys are going to be out here on Saturday.

Speaker 12:

Speaker 5:

Yep, All right, all right, all right, all right, we are back in it. All righty, we got my boy Keezy here and go ahead and introduce yourself. What do you do? What's?

Speaker 18:

your name. My name is Sky Groom. I'm a six months ago.

Speaker 7:

Okay, welcome to Fresno, where are you from originally Columbus, ohio, columbus, ohio? Yeah, and say your name one more time Sky Groom, sky Groom, y'all S-K-Y-E, everybody, take one step back. Just a little bit Groom, like Biden Groom.

Speaker 18:

Hey, hold on, if I take one more step back, I'm going to be in there I'm going to be catching a foul ball.

Speaker 5:

All right, so tell us about your experience being a comedian man. When did you first start out?

Speaker 18:

So I started out in 2012, roughly, it was a little bit before that that I really really got into it. I would say 2012 was when I really got into it. You know what I mean. But I graduated high school in 2003, okay, and the year after that. That is when I got into stand-up comedy. Gotcha. And when I went into stand-up comedy, it was everyone and all my friends were like dude, you need to go to stand-up comedy, you're hilarious, yeah, yeah. But the thing was is I didn't know what it took to be a stand-up comedian, right, right.

Speaker 7:

You know what I mean. What does it take for the people who don't know Shh?

Speaker 18:

Dude it takes. I bombed the first two times. I went on stage. Where were you? Performing at what the hell Steve.

Speaker 7:

How old were you? Do you like chicken? Do you know where you're at right?

Speaker 18:

now Fresno State. I like chicken, I like beef.

Speaker 16:

Shit, I like a lot of shit. I like a damn kebab, you know.

Speaker 18:

I really love tapenaki, you know, give me some tapenaki.

Speaker 7:

Sky groom y'all.

Speaker 18:

No, hold on, Hold on. So you asked me where I was. Yes, so the first time that I ever performed was at the Funny Bone in Columbus, ohio. Okay, alright, now I went there and I, you know I performed in theater and done a lot. Right, you know what I mean. But doing stand-up comedy is different than performing a live theater event.

Speaker 7:

Yes, right, because it's like improv 110%. I mean, yeah, it's way different Because the crowd is going to be different every time. You can write a set and then perform that, but it's almost like performers when they make music you have to kind of know the demographic and the crowd before you go out there, especially in different cities. Yeah, and what jokes is funny, and what jokes is not?

Speaker 11:

Because you don't want to say nigga, and it's a whole crowd full of black people, everybody's not going to be happy.

Speaker 7:

Everybody's going to be laughing. I'm telling you right now, so it's important, but if you got it, you can do what you want to do. If you got it, you can do what you want to do.

Speaker 18:

Yeah, I don't use that word. I'd definitely be X-Nate on the it night. You know what I mean, right on, yeah, straight up. But to be real with you guys, you know 100%. I mean it takes practice. It takes, you know, learning. I'm an impressionist, so I do 122 accents and impersonations to a T. Right, you know I work these. I'm that guy that you see walking down the street and he's like the fuck, is that talking about?

Speaker 7:

Who are some of your favorite comedians that you like to?

Speaker 18:

impersonate, I mean if I had to say, give us your best, jim Carrey.

Speaker 7:

Can you do, jim Carrey?

Speaker 18:

What's in here, citizens of America? I mean just it's getting into the character. Can you do, eddie Murphy? Oh, please, eddie Murphy. What do you want, eddie Murphy? In what?

Speaker 7:

type of Eddie Murphy. Do Eddie Murphy in Coming to America?

Speaker 5:

Yes, Impersonation of an impersonation is crazy. You got it. Come on, come on.

Speaker 3:

Is this your work? No, no. Is that what you want? No, no you said Is that?

Speaker 18:

what you want? Come on, my brothers, I am here. Yes, this is what I want.

Speaker 15:

You know when are you from, Eddie.

Speaker 18:

Murphy, I want the Brooklyn.

Speaker 15:

Give me the bitch.

Speaker 18:

I want her right now Do the laugh.

Speaker 7:

Give me one more, any of your choice.

Speaker 18:

Dude, I can do anything Like literally.

Speaker 7:

No, I want to see the Cat Williams Do a Cat Williams, cat Williams, I'm just saying bitch, it's 13.

Speaker 18:

You, williams? I'm just saying bitch, it's 13. You know what I'm saying? When I first walked the fuck in here, I just didn't know what the hell to expect with this shit. And, first of all and foremost, I've seen as many venues as, first of all, do you know that they have alcohol here? That is, jameson, me and J-Mo. We are really close. I don't know if you know this or not, bitch, but I'm just going to tell you something. Right now, bitch, we are fucking for real. We are close as most.

Speaker 7:

We are sky-grooved, y'all. Y'all got gotta check him out. Where can they find you, alvin? Where can they find you at, brother?

Speaker 18:

Amen. So we were supposed to have a show this Saturday At Solitary Cellars. It got cancelled Because of SFSU football, the heat Fresno.

Speaker 7:

State is back. The shit, the shit. Yes, they smack who they play, who Fresno State played last week.

Speaker 18:

I don't even know who they play. I don't even know who Fresno State played last week who. I am not sports inclined who. Fresno.

Speaker 7:

State played last week.

Speaker 18:

And this is what I'm saying is we don't even know who the fuck we playing.

Speaker 5:

I am not inclined by sports, by any means. Nobody is no shade, no shade, love Fresno State.

Speaker 18:

This by any means Nobody is just no shade, no shade Love. Fresno State. This episode is everywhere. What I'm saying is this and this is crazy, I mean, I'm just you telling me that you don't even know who the fuck we playing. I mean, do you care? Does anybody care? I mean, this motherfucker don't even. Hey, sir, sir, you smoking the glizzle. Let me just ask you for rizzle. Do you know who Fresno State is playing this weekend? I can find out for you. Oh, he said he can find out, he don't even know. He don't even know. Got to figure it out, you know he don't, it's all right.

Speaker 5:

It's all right, it's all right. Listen, not all of us are sports inclined with that, but Fresno State will play Oregon State in Oregon. Ooh On Oregon turf, ooh, ooh.

Speaker 18:

Ooh Ooh, you give me that, he give me that shot like he.

Speaker 5:

Absolutely amazing brother, amazing. So, with that being said, where can we find you? You got social media handles and stuff like that.

Speaker 18:

So social media, if you, if you so. So unfortunately, I had my ex delete everything on my shit. You made her do it. No, I didn't make her do it. I mean, I made her do it with a do-it-do-it. If you do it, do it, do it, do it do it what happened was.

Speaker 18:

She just didn't care for me entertaining, she just went to my hole. But you know what I'm saying when you are an actor and stand-up comic, and I'm sure you guys understand this. It made me upset that she would let me and want me to get rid of everything. Because she could have had the fucking life I mean she could have had the life I don't know. Just give me my time to do my shit. That's real.

Speaker 5:

And destroying somebody else's career is kind of crazy. I ain't gonna lie to you.

Speaker 7:

So what drives you? What drives you to be a, you know and I don't want to just call you a comedian, because obviously you said you have other talents, but what drives you to be a creative?

Speaker 18:

Okay. So my father told me I was never going to mount to nothing, and you know that resonated at home in my freshman year. You know he said you ain't going to never mount to shit. But I proceeded. I went to New York, I went to LA. Everyone said I had potential, everyone had it. The only thing is is I just don't have the manager. That's it. That's the only reason. And the three managers that I had wouldn't even give me the opportunity. Right, you know what I mean. Like, give me three auditions, interviews, if you will, for the month. That was it.

Speaker 3:

Right, give me something man you will for the month.

Speaker 18:

That was it. Right, give me something man. Right, dude, I can do so much. Right, you know what I mean and I respect talent, you know. This is why I come to things like this and do it for free, right, like if you were to tell me guys, you'd be like hey, do a stand-up comedy set right now for 30 minutes. I think you can do it.

Speaker 7:

I believe you because we've been talking for almost 30 minutes.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, not only that Do you know what I mean, bro, listen. But outside of this camera there is a cologne spot right next door that he's partnered up with and bro sold me a cologne Right. He's packing up right now. I'm going to hop out of this camera and go. Why it took him so long before he did? Because he sold me on it Chico 33.

Speaker 18:

Hey, look, look, look For those that are. I don't know where the cameras are, but I'm just going to do this. Chico 33,. Bro, this shit is amazing. This guy has done this for years and he has perfected it. He's got lotions, he's got, you know, the dude's going nuts and he's a comedian.

Speaker 7:

I mean, we just, is it fragrances and aromas, or is it like a brand, like t-shirts or what?

Speaker 18:

is it I? Mean well, he's gonna get into t-shirts. Right now it's just fragrance, okay, right, but Byron, dude, that dude, he knows what he's doing. And I, you know when, I you know like what drew me to you. I saw you guys and I was walking by and I was like dude, this is hot, what I want to do, look, hey, hold on, let me talk to these guys. So we was on.

Speaker 7:

Thank you, Def. Shout out to Def. Shout out Jeff. Shout out to Dog Days. Yeah, shout out to the whole opportunity to be here. You know, under short notice and it's been a pleasure. You know what I mean. So what we want to do is really showcase the talent and the diversity of our community, and I think that's what Dev is successfully attempting and I feel like it's such an energy here. Some people never even been in here before, like me. Yeah, see, it's such an energy here, for sure, some people never even been in here before.

Speaker 7:

Yeah, like me. Yeah, see it's crazy. Excuse me, and this is just Thursday, so we still got Friday. We got. Saturday we got Saturday, then Sunday, thursday, today, friday, giddy up in groove.

Speaker 18:

I'll say this there's a first thing that I need you to do. Okay, first thing is come. Yeah, amazing, you, sir, you sir. I've watched the both of you interview people. I got to say it's incredible. You know, it's astounding to know that you guys do this Right.

Speaker 18:

You little, if, what do you mean?

Speaker 10:

Right, right right.

Speaker 7:

That's just how I am, but I'm the same person. It don't stop. I definitely believe in highlighting everybody because, like I said, I don't despise small beginnings and a lot of times people are being people and they just be giving you a little taste just to really see how you are. You know what I mean. So I don't feel no type of way because I know who I am. I constantly say that on this podcast, so that's. I believe in people who say things like that. You feel me?

Speaker 7:

know what I mean and we got it with you. Yeah, we got it with you. We know we expecting people to come and interact and engage. That's our whole. Objective is to create engagement.
