Speaker 1:

It's like, hey, hey, welcome back. Alright, guys, bye.

Speaker 2:

Hey, so we'll just get AI to do your part.

Speaker 1:

Oh man, Imagine Perfect. I love the way that it looks. Yeah, it does, bro, it looks good. That's the vibe though. Yeah, it does, bro, it looks good. That's the vibe there. That's exactly.

Speaker 2:

I really feel comfortable. Yeah, like this, yeah.

Speaker 1:

I feel pretty good. All right, welcome back to another episode out here in the lake, season three. Appreciate Ivan and I appreciate Juan Juan's in the background doing his thing. And we had this other episode with Rockstar Turtle.

Speaker 3:

Rockstar turtle hasn't been here, so today's episode is it between rockstar turtle? Is it between I've?

Speaker 1:

been rockstar turtle, rockstar turtle, okay, okay, that's fine, all right, perfect. Oh, look at that breeze, it feels so fucking good yeah, dude, it feels good.

Speaker 2:

I know I have this thing on, but, like you know, it's fitting the ultra ego of rockstar turtle yeah, yeah, it feels good. You can feel the breeze. You can see the blue neon fucking turquoise lake. Everyone's having a good time, you know and this is my family day.

Speaker 1:

Oh yeah, oh yeah, perfect, okay, all right.

Speaker 2:

Well, before we go ahead and continue, let's go ahead and let's roll the intro. We butterfly up to the sky. No way you catching us. Goodbye, we, the God. We make it out alive. We stick together Like we signed, we shooting stars, one of a kind. We undefeated, just resign. Money more lower than a bitch nowadays.

Speaker 1:

Dang Love that song bro, I love that song bro.

Speaker 2:

I love it too.

Speaker 1:

I was talking to Juan and Juan had pitched me an idea of like hey, like, what about? What if a new one?

Speaker 2:

New one.

Speaker 1:

Season, fresh season, new intro, new everything.

Speaker 2:

All right.

Speaker 1:

Different catered to more of me Because I know the first one was about two years ago about with everything that's going on. You know, and I was in a different life. Yeah, back then. Now it's like you know what? Something different, something new something upbeat. So yeah more broke boys.

Speaker 2:

Broke boys is a different level than it was back in then okay, yeah, dude, that sounds really interesting and that's something that I've been thinking about too. You know, I I listen to Beats and I'm, like you know, listening to your podcast. I'm always like damn, you know, Like your podcast excites me and just it always fills me with joy. So I'm like fuck, dude, like that song has been a big part of your podcast. I'm like can I do something else? And I always think I'm like can I do something else? And I always think I'm like, can I?

Speaker 2:

make a second song. Yeah, and I'm like you know. I think I can yeah, I think I can? I just gotta find the beat, you know. I just gotta let the universe do its thing and let the beat come to me yeah, but slowly.

Speaker 1:

It will come to you, it will, it will and just just like the first one. Like the first one, it was just like perfect. And you know what like that will always be the broke boy song. I don't know if you saw the interview I did with Cesar from Between Pods. He loved your song.

Speaker 2:

I know, shout out to him, bro. Shout out to Cesar. Yeah, shout out to Cesar, because I seen the pod and you guys were, you know, just showing love and I'm like, damn bro, I was at the gym, bro, fucking cheesing out.

Speaker 1:

I love and I'm like damn bro, I was. I was at the gym bro, fucking cheesing out.

Speaker 2:

I'm like what the hell, bro, I don't want to go to my car and cry, you know, yeah, but type shit. I was like damn thank you guys.

Speaker 1:

Thank you guys for showing love no, thank you for making that that beautiful creation. You and, and juan too, man, just you, good yeah I thought that felt bro um, but for sure, like I don't know, like I could see something else yeah oh, it's just like all right, it's the next level, the broke boys. The first song will always be the, the tribute song, the first one, yeah, and it's just like okay, let's see what else you got.

Speaker 2:

You know the way I see it is is that I'm excited to even think about it, because it's almost if you think about it. Think about it like in chapters. Like you know, you did chapter one, chapter two, we're going to chapter three. You know, and you have used this song for two years. Yeah, so if let's say two years from now, I look back at it and I listen to broke boys and I listen to this new one, and then I think of another one yeah it's just, you know it gets exciting.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, it gets exciting because I'm like damn dude, you know. Yeah, it's just like what's the next one, yeah, yeah, for sure yeah, you know what I'd love to see. What would you have, what you come up with?

Speaker 2:

oh yeah, oh bro, I can cook. Oh, I know you can, I know you can you and fucking Rockstar Turtle, god damn it, I keep.

Speaker 2:

Jay Birdie, you and Jay Birdie, my boy Jay Birdie, out here. Dude, I was doing that, the whole episode. Hey, shout out to my boy, jay Birdie, from Ethazine. If you haven't checked it out, check it out. Shout out Tiburon On YouTube. Tiburon, all right, that's tight, brother. You guys did that music video man. Yeah, dude, I was, you know. Thank you for the opportunity, thank you for letting me be in it. He, he came up to me and told me, you know, he pitched the idea and I was like you know what? Fuck, yeah, let's do it. And you know, at first I was like fuck, you know, I haven't done this in a minute, I haven't been on social media in a minute. So I was like fuck, I don't know if it's gonna turn out good, good, but you know, he gave me my credit and I was like that made me feel good. So thank you for letting me be in the video and if you haven't checked it out, check it out.

Speaker 1:

It's really good. It is good, it's really good. For sure, where. Last time you were on here it was on some like deep level shit yeah, and we just wanted I think everybody, the audience want to know like hey, where's, where's rockstar turtle been where have? You been? How's things going?

Speaker 2:

I've been doing really good, actually doing really good. Um, what is it? So the first, the first couple months, let's say around, you know, april, more wait, january, march, april, april I was kind of like in the funk, you know, dealing with the breakup, but that kind of worked out. And then I later kind of just went into this depression state and at first I was like I, I was like I don't know, you know, I don't know if what this feeling was, like I didn't want to wake up. I was like you know, like just unmotivated and didn't have drive. But I kind of talked about it with a few people later on and I was like, damn, it's like this is deep as like depression, like this is a hard level of depression. I'm like, wow, I never thought I would have got to that point.

Speaker 1:

But yeah I went to that how are you doing now?

Speaker 2:

oh, I'm doing good, you know, thankfully I have you, I have juan, I have my girlfriend, I have friends that you know. Just kind of like talk it out. I have friends to talk to, you know, and I appreciate you guys for letting me talk, my talk, you know, because you know it's hard and the way I am I don't. And I talked about this with my girlfriend, I was like I don't ask for help, I'd rather just do it myself.

Speaker 2:

And she told me she was like you got to ask for help. You know whether you like it or not, like it's good for you.

Speaker 1:

Yeah. So, and help as in, like you know, reaching out to friends or asking for your friends or yeah, or helping in a professional way of like you know what? Maybe therapy? Yeah, which one do you mean?

Speaker 2:

Not therapy, but I just letting my friends know yeah, like what I'm going through, like what I'm going through, or having somebody to talk to. Yeah, because I would just not talk about it. I would like put on another mask and be like everything's okay, you know, gotcha. And then when you guys leave, boom, take off the mask and there you go.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I've been like that. I've been in that low point where you do seek of like or you think of seeking help, where you don't know what you have. You don't know what you have, you don't know what's going on, you don't really know all the answers. I've been there where I was just like you know what, maybe I do need some help, maybe I do need and it's important to know like hey, you know what, if I can go with a group of people that don't judge me, that are there for me and support me and love me, then all right, let me tell you what's going on.

Speaker 1:

And that are there for me and support me and love me. Then, all right, let me tell you what's going on and you sit down and you have this conversation with them and you open up. Then they support you and they show you some love, they show you some care, like, no, we're there for you and it's like you feel loved, you feel like you know what safe. And it is important to talk to people and open up about your feelings and what you're going through.

Speaker 2:

It's important.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, for sure, I know one thing that we talked about behind the scenes I hit a low point and nobody knew. No one knew. Nobody knew what I was going through, no one knew the amount of pressure I had. And I got to the point where I was just like you know what, like I need to tell my people yeah, I need to tell everybody and and open up, and I gathered my family and I and I had that conversation with them and luckily, like they are, are fully 100 supporting me and they're for me and they know, like you know, know what happened to you is wrong, but we're there for you and that's like the important thing.

Speaker 2:

No, it is. You know, to get that reassurance from those who you love, you know, makes things better.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Because going through it alone sucks, you know. Yeah, it sucks. You deal with this at work, you deal with this before sleep.

Speaker 1:

Your overthinking eats you alive and the pain you feel. The pain. It sits there the whole time.

Speaker 2:

It sucks, man, you know just trying to do like you want to do better. You know you want to wake up happy, but you wake up thinking about problems and just angry and sad and you're like fuck Damn.

Speaker 1:

And you don't know how to function? No, just angry and sad and you're like fuck damn, and you don't know how to function. No, no, yeah, stuck with like I don't know what to do next. I don't know what. Yeah, I get you. I entered a hundred percent, understand you? And how are you doing now? Are you better, you? Oh?

Speaker 2:

I'm good, bro, like I I've been. I've been more vocal, more, more coherent. Is that the word? Yeah yeah, just uh, just more, just more communicative, like I just let my, let my people know, let you guys know, and you know, also take the time to like kind of be by myself and understand these things. You know it's important to give yourself some time and feel the things that you need to feel.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, absolutely, and even being out here.

Speaker 2:

Oh, dude, I know. Embracing the fresh air Beautiful-ass fucking weather right now, mm-hmm.

Speaker 1:

Like seeing it here, like I was telling you guys hearing just the lake crash, the water crashing, just the shallow, the trees fucking, yeah, the wind just breezing right through Jay Verde's hair Damn dude His cologne. But is there going to be a comeback? Yes, there is. What's that looking like?

Speaker 2:

Let me tell you something, man. Let me tell you something Everybody, buckle in, please. Yeah, buckle in, get ready, because we're going to go on a ride.

Speaker 2:

So, while I was doing my whole engineering because lately also I've been understanding how to engineer, more Like sound engineer, I, I guess, or vocal engineer, okay so because money's tight right now, so I gotta like, I decided to like start engineering again and by doing that I got better and better and better, and you know, with practice it gets better, yeah. So with that I kind of found a beat one day and I was like, damn, this shit was like. This shit hit me. I was like, okay, like this made me think about, like my life yeah like fuck, you know.

Speaker 2:

And then I started cruising around the city. I don't know if you guys feel the same way, but when I cruise around the city and I look like at different locations, I'm like damn, damn, this is Fresno. And you start thinking about little memories here and there. And then I'm like fuck, I've been wanting to write a song about my life, like what I've gone through, and I know I've been off social media for a minute, but I want to come back. And then I was like, come back, this song can be a comeback. And then I was like, okay, let's, let's start cooking up. So I just started writing, writing, writing, you know. And then boom, I made the song come back and I'm excited to show you guys.

Speaker 2:

You know, and I know yesterday we uh did a little release, a little preview a little preview, yeah, yeah and, honestly, it's one of my favorite songs at the moment that I've recorded and I'm just excited to let the people know. You know that I'm not, I haven't vanished, you know. Yeah, I went away for a bit, but you know I'm here to stay and I'm here to show you guys what I have gone through and been through, and you know with that being said, this is gonna be fucking hot yeah gonna be a hot, it's gonna be a banger.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I can't wait to hear it. Man, like hearing it yesterday, it was like you have to do it, you and jay verdie. Jay verdie had an incredible song too. Oh yeah, beautiful song just like you guys gotta just throw it out there. Come on, I'm hyped for it bro.

Speaker 2:

Oh yeah, dude, I'm hyped. I showed my boy, Eddie, and he was like hyping it up and I'm like, thank you, bro, thank you, I appreciate that. And shout out to Eddie what is it? It, I, I'm, I'm just excited. Yeah, I'm really excited. You know, I'm really excited to release this comeback and hopefully not hopefully but I am going to start posting more and vlogging more yeah because I know that's as an artist. That's a job. I need to know it's time to come back.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, legit, come back, lock the fuck in, lock the fuck in Applause. Damn, get back into it. Yeah, yeah, it's time, bro. It's time it's been waiting. We've been all waiting for it too.

Speaker 2:

Mm-hmm.

Speaker 1:

You know it's like let's help each other elevate. Let's do it no, yeah, bring everything all back. Let's get it going like how it was when I first met you guys that's what I was telling uh to jay yesterday. It's like you know, like it's crazy to see how we first started and from the momentum from the beginning, to like where we are now yeah and there's only like and and and.

Speaker 1:

Two left, you know, two walked out, but doesn't mean it doesn't change what all what we got going on, what we want to create and what we want to do, we still got to do it. We still got to show up and let's fucking figure this shit out, let's do it, make it big, make it, make it even bigger. Yeah, and I think it's just like when we keep holding stuff back, life keeps happening, something goes on. It's just like now. I think it's just god's way of like, you know, trying to hey, we're preparing it.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, it's marinating it's been marinating for years and it's just like all right, let's go.

Speaker 2:

Boom yeah when it's time to go it's gonna pandora's box, it's gonna unleash something and we got something brewing, something crazy, and I and I appreciate being here, you know, with with you guys. You know we've we talked about doing this for a long time. We created our own lanes, yeah, and now we're here, you know, talking business and you know, like you said, life happens but we always come back stronger, yeah, and I and I appreciate, you know, your help and your guidance and you know, kind words, that kind of lift me up, because you know it keeps me going. And for those out there, you guys listening, I appreciate you guys too. That shit's amazing and it feels good to know that my words are being heard.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, no for sure, and I'm appreciative of everybody that's been supportive and been supportive of all of us and coming back and listening and being appreciative of everything, and I do appreciate you guys' time. I appreciate you guys both coming out here and doing this idea. This is an idea that's been waiting for I don't know how many, how long. It became a reality, just like this whole thing.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, I know.

Speaker 1:

Rock Boys was always just something that eventually became a reality, just like this whole thing. Yeah, I know, broke boys was always just something that eventually became a reality.

Speaker 2:

And then look at where it's at now I remember in the beginning, bro, like the first first, you know yeah and I remember how it all went down. And now look at us, bro, we're outside. You bought a generator, bro. You have all your equipment right here yeah on this table. Who would have thought? Who would have thought, bro? Who would have thought? And now we're here. Yeah, I'm fucking up, dude.

Speaker 1:

I fuck with this shit yeah, and you're still with your russian hat, dude, you're still rocking it but can I uh shout out a song real quick of Of course Okay.

Speaker 2:

Well, funny story to this. Actually I did so one day. I was doing shrooms.

Speaker 1:

That's usually how all the great stories start. One day I was doing shrooms, you know.

Speaker 2:

And I was like you know what Fuck it, I'm going to just do shrooms, and I had previously. I went to the gym, right, and I found this beat beat and this beat was sick like. It was like very synth type beat. So I listened to this beat over and over and over and then I was like, damn, this is a good beat to write to. So then later that night I took shrooms and then I was like you know, I was in was in my lover boy kind of mood, so I wrote a poem for my girl and then I was like damn, this poem would sound good on this beat.

Speaker 1:

Okay.

Speaker 2:

And then from there I created Bloom. It was so cool only because like it took only like ten minutes, but like those ten minutes were the best, the best moment of of your life of not my life, but one of my. You know one, one moment of my life? But, but that shit was so cool, like the way it turned out. You know, I was like damn damn, like it was just so good. But I'm not telling you guys to do shrooms, but you know, just know, magic happens when you do shrooms.

Speaker 2:

And yeah, bloom is just a poem about a bee and a flower, you know, basically she's the flower, I'm the bee, you know.

Speaker 1:

You guys getting the honey.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah, yeah, get on. But you know, I eventually find this flower and it became my home. But for those who haven't checked it out yet, it's on soundcloud, youtube. But that one was like a, a secret one, I don't know how to say it like you kept it low-key yeah, a low-key kind of release okay so that was. And then I I was high on stream so I was like I'm gonna just release it oh okay.

Speaker 2:

So, yeah, nice, that was, that was a good time. Yeah, but musically, everything is coming intact, it's coming all together and I thank you guys for encouraging me to vlog and you, you know, start doing more.

Speaker 1:

Well, shit, like if no one knew and you guys are going to know now, but you guys were the ones that encouraged me to start the vlogs, like you especially, and Juan too, because Juan was just like just pull out your phone randomly.

Speaker 1:

This is like, even if you start work or you get off work like just pull out your phone and just hey guys, like I just got you start work. Or you get off work like just pull out your phone and just hey guys, like I just got out of work, you know, and that that was like a moment because, like there was times where I have so many vlogs that were I'm sorry, it's windy I had so many vlogs where I literally I'm looking at one when I'm talking to them is that I I pulled out my phone and I was getting off work and I was like, literally getting off off work, I was like, hey guys, like I'm tired as fuck. I had a long day and I explained my day quick little debrief, just so that way I felt less cringy when I was doing it on my main channel Because it was like not posting, not to do it just to post it, but it was more like to do it just to train yourself to get used to it, train yourself to be less cringy on the camera.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, I do want to shout out Marvin, just for that. That boy went crazy with the vlogging. I mean, even crazier than me. Shit, I mean it goes for any of y'all, just fucking, just start it, you know, yeah, start it, start it. I mean Rockstar Turtle told me best. I mean because I didn't want to start music at all, and he's like, bro, come on, just lace them down.

Speaker 1:

You know, it just starts with that, yeah, and that's what it is. And, like you know, I think that's why we've always had the same level of mindset of, like you know what, just doing it, like what the fuck do we have to lose? It's just entertainment, it's just for fun, like, hey, we're doing this for our enjoyment, for our life, yeah, and that's just where we're at in life. And yeah, I just want to say, like you guys were the ones that really pushed that for me.

Speaker 2:

I appreciate that, bro, oh yeah.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, blessings, blessings.

Speaker 2:

A lot of blessings to come. Yeah, mm-hmm. Blessings, a lot of blessings to come. Yeah, I, you know. And and then for those, like you said, you know, I like in the beginning we encouraged you and well in live hits, but never give up. Never give up. And it's good to like open up when you're feeling that blockage, because you know, if you're very creative, don't let that stop you.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

But just open up, communicate about what you've been feeling and you know, let time do its thing and it will all get better, but never give up. Don't give up.

Speaker 1:

Don't give up bro.

Speaker 2:

Don't give up on your dreams yourself. Love yourself yeah.

Speaker 1:

So what's the advice that you would tell people from like you know?

Speaker 2:

you taking a pause from momentum and and and just taking a break from social media if you're gonna take a pause and be off of social media, you legit have to be off of social media. You know, if you have things that you need to work on, work on those things. Don't just be telling your parents or your loved ones or somebody. You know that. You know that you've been working on it when you really kind of have it, you know and you've been on the couch just watching movies and shit. Like no, like you legit gotta suffer and deal and grieve with the pain, because if you don't, then you're just gonna be in the same place.

Speaker 2:

You know yeah the all this time that I've been, that I've been off social media. You know I tried to like listen to podcasts. You know like health and just understand the mind more, because I don't want to be in the same place. But but yeah, you know, just just take it one step at a time. You know, read a book or just go out in nature. You know, be with yourself, understand yourself more and just just know that it's going to get better.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

But when you, whenever you're ready, just hop back on and don't even think about it too much, you know, don't have expectations, just hop on and do what you got to do.

Speaker 1:

Yep, yeah, I agree with that man. That's nice, let's see. Is there anything that you want to say to the people about your comeback?

Speaker 2:

or about just life in general. When life gets hard, just keep going. Musically, I'm working hard as ever to become a good engineer and my sound quality has gotten better, as in mixing. So I cannot wait to show you guys what I've been cooking. Comeback will be out soon. We just have to do me, and Jay Verde got to do the rundown on that. We got to see what needs to be done.

Speaker 2:

But Comeback, and then also, I don't know if I said it previously, but I am working on an album, alternative album, somber. Yeah, I don't want to give out a date, but it gives me like a fall, a fall vibe. So around there, you know, and most of these songs are written. I just got to record them Nice, so wait for that. And you know, I want to thank every single one of you guys that supported me Martin, jay Verde, all of us, because without you guys we wouldn't be here, you know. Thank you for taking the time to listen to us and keep listening, because things are going to just improve from here and get better, and I cannot wait for that broke voice too because that shit's gonna be dope should be fun, man, thank you.

Speaker 1:

Thank you for being out here. Thank you, uh, again jay verdie coming out here too and being a part of this. We love it. Well, we'll catch you, guys until the next one. Much love, man.
