Speaker 1:

Welcome back to another episode of the Broke Boys. I'm Martin.

Speaker 2:

I'm.

Speaker 1:

Kat, and today we have our special guest through the phone First time ever.

Speaker 2:

So we have a special guest today my bestie from San Francisco, ariana. Hi, I'm her. I'm her, she's me. She's me, she's me. So we are we. We are the Broke.

Speaker 1:

We.

Speaker 2:

We are the broke boys, we are farmers, anyways. Okay, so we have audio in through Bluetooth and we've never done this before, but we're excited to see, first time ever, how it goes.

Speaker 1:

I've done it before. Just to, to play with it, to play with it, to mess with it, to see like how it would work, because we had somebody that was willing to be on yeah on phone call, but it never went through. We just practiced, just to see how it sounded, how it worked, and it works fine yeah, I can hear nice and crisps, can you hear us?

Speaker 2:

I could hear you guys pretty well. I was gonna say I hope I'm crispy coming in because you guys, I know your audio equipment's pretty state of the art.

Speaker 1:

So thank you.

Speaker 2:

It sounds good. No, you do sound good.

Speaker 1:

You hear everything that you do.

Speaker 2:

Dude these headphones I have. They're like $30 on Amazon and that's like. My biggest complaint is that you could hear everything all the time. I feel that.

Speaker 1:

That's like with my headphones, like my, like Kat had got me these. Uh, over the year beats uh-huh and I really like those just because, like the samsung ones that I used to have, they would just fall out when they were like in-ear ones. Yeah, so then I, I told her I was like I would prefer something that loops around my ear.

Speaker 2:

So then she got me the beat ones for christmas or for my birthday no, I think it was your birthday for my birthday and they don't fall off.

Speaker 1:

But the only thing that I have with that is that the microphone is shitty on on that, on those headphones, like you?

Speaker 2:

hear everything else around me, but I hear you too, but I just hear everything else um. I would think opposite that's what I thought that's why I got them, because I was like, oh, I bet you the mic's pretty good, because Beats is like a good brand. Yeah, yeah, it's just too good. And I hear everything else.

Speaker 3:

Literally.

Speaker 2:

Well, I know I hate when I'm like taking a walk. I usually like to call people when I'm on a walk and it's been windy as fuck over here lately, yeah, so you hear the wind and I'm just like I am so sorry to anyone who's on the phone call.

Speaker 1:

It's all loud, it's like you're going through a tornado, literally actually.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, that's what it feels like. Lately she starts going on the run, just flies away just flies away, um, yeah, yeah. So today we want to talk about um. We took a trip to san francisco a few weeks ago, um, just to spur the moment. We were talking about it and we were just like fuck it, let's do it after a while. We took a trip to San Francisco a few weeks ago, just to spur the moment.

Speaker 1:

We were talking about it and we were just like fuck it, let's do it After a while.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, so we went up there and we spent the day.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, so that's what we're going to talk about today Before we yeah, we took nice pictures, some funny videos. We found a torta gubana Legendary right there, world's largest. World's largest, absolutely can't confirm I'm like that's crazy.

Speaker 2:

I don't know. I feel like you're talking about it like that can't confirm. Can that's what I said? Can't confirm, it's crazy, wow.

Speaker 1:

That's a hot take, guys. Thank you.

Speaker 2:

That is a hot take. The research, yeah. So before we get started, I'm going to run the intro. Adi, I don't know how that's going to, if you can hear it. I don't know, so we'll find out right now actually Sure, I can.

Speaker 3:

Cool, I can goodbye, we make it out alive. I'll never leave my dogs behind. We stick together like we. We shoot in stars. One of a kind.

Speaker 2:

We undefeated, just resign money more lower than a bitch nowadays put some respect on Fresno, on Fresnopolis, my bad, sorry, continue my new home anyway. So yeah, we've been. When we go on day trips, we, we either go to la or san francisco, um, because I love yeah, lucky lucky for us, we have my aunt that live in la and my best. He lives in san francisco, um, so we are cheap and save on hotels if we want to stay the night um absolutely hell yeah, you didn't hear it.

Speaker 2:

Oh, it's because you have it martin was trying to use the sound effect. It didn't work. I'm gonna hear it. I hear I heard an applause right now.

Speaker 1:

The applause, yeah, so yeah, I can't head it off, sorry, do better at your job, please oh, okay, anyways um will we either go to la or san francisco?

Speaker 2:

now both are the best of both worlds yeah, they and they. We can call them tomorrow and be like, hey, we're gonna go to la, and they'll be like okay cool, and hey, we're gonna go to san francisco, and it's okay cool, so we're lucky in that fact. So we were there, we were here one weekend, um, and we were planning it for a while, right, like a month, yeah, um, and we had a few dates.

Speaker 2:

I don't know. I said, yeah, I was gonna say no, I was. I was gonna say, oh no, continue, finish your story. No, I was gonna say we had a few dates, but we didn't like solidify one exactly, and that was the thing. Yeah, yeah. So that's the thing is we were like, oh, we want to go in May sometime, like maybe when I finish school or whatever, but we never pick like an official date. Um, so I remember calling adi. Well, I remember calling adi and being like, hey, what are your plans this weekend? No, did I call or text you, adi? I think I texted you. Huh, probably, snap, we have a streak too.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I don't know I remember talking to adi and I was like, hey, what are you doing this weekend? And I was like hey, what are you doing this weekend? And she was like what's supposed to rain, like if the weather's not good? And then I told martin, I was like she's not fucking with us this weekend, like I'm not getting the vibe I'm not getting the vibe that she wants visitors.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, because I was. I was telling cat, I was like come on, let's go do something like let's go, let's go see her, let's go, I fucking love that, and then cat was just like.

Speaker 2:

No, let me call her, let me that's what it was, yeah, and you were like, well, the weather is gonna be ugly, or the weather like it's not gonna be as nice as it usually is told me was just like she was just giving excuses, like she didn't want.

Speaker 2:

I was like, yeah, she's not fucking with us this weekend I was like all right, I know, and that was not that was literally not the intent either, which is so funny. No, okay, so then to keep going. So that was like maybe at the beginning of the week. So then I call you on Thursday. You were like, hey, are you coming up this weekend? I think you texted Are you coming up this weekend? Yeah, and I was like no girl, it sounded like you were not fucking with me and you were like that.

Speaker 1:

No, you called me.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I think something like that, and I was, you were like that's not my intention. Like I would just say the weather might be ugly, but like, yeah, come down, like, come down. So then on Thursday um, we solidified that we're going down on Saturday, yeah, um, and for context sorry, no good for context to like as to why the rain was so detrimental like, if you know, sf, the parks are like the thing to do here. That's what everyone fucking does when they come here on the weekend. On the weekends, they go outside and drink, like people are selling drugs, selling chocolate with shrooms in it, like it's a normal thing here in san francisco, just to like chill out the parks because they're fucking gorgeous or to be like outdoors period.

Speaker 2:

I was like yeah, and I was like I'm ready to do that with you guys because you guys haven't come yet in the springtime, and so it was like beautiful, beautiful weather, except for that saturday that you guys are coming.

Speaker 1:

So I was just like damn it yeah then I was like, hey, they could come again, it's fine, it's not that big of a deal, yeah, so um and it wasn't bad like for me, like I was, like I really enjoyed it because it was kind of like rainy in the beginning yeah but then it was like that it was like overcast kind of, and then it finally like the sun came through.

Speaker 1:

It was still like a good vibe, like you didn't really need it to be sunny to have a grid time like it was definitely like all right, let's go do something yeah, so that's kind of what the vibe was so because it was rainy and ugly, we kind of didn't know like what the, what the vibe was, or like what we would be able to do, um.

Speaker 2:

So I took my switch just in case we had to stay in her apartment. We would play the switch and like drink a little bit, um. But when we drove up there I think that's when we caught all the rain was the drive up there, but by the time we got to sf it was like drizzling maybe, um, so it wasn't bad at all, and what?

Speaker 3:

was the first thing we did I don't remember the very first.

Speaker 2:

I mean, you guys were in the fucking rain. Yeah, I remember I felt bad. I was at the gym and I was like, oh, you're sending me snaps, it's like how bad it was. No, yeah, the drive up there. I drove halfway and then martin drove the other half and that's when it got really rainy, thank goodness, yeah, um, so I didn't have to drive, but martin drove and he was like it's like, it's a lot, and I was like, yeah, but I think it's because we were on the freeway. So everyone was like kicking up everything.

Speaker 1:

Um, yeah, and either way, like the intention was, let's go hang out with adi. Yeah, so it's like rin wayne.

Speaker 2:

What is it? When, rain or shine, we were getting the sf yeah period yeah, so it was cool. By the time we got there, it was fine. Um, the first thing we did is we went to a bakery. Right, yes, yeah, we went to a bakery. Um what was it called protein period? It was gas. I had a chocolate croissant Gas. Oh my God what did you have I? Fucking love. What did you?

Speaker 1:

get.

Speaker 2:

Me yeah, I don't know how to pronounce these motherfuckers. I think it's called like a Queen Amman, which is essentially like a croissant in a different shape with sugar on it. Period Gas, so good.

Speaker 1:

I think I got the same thing Right.

Speaker 2:

I gas. So good, I think I got the same thing right. I think you got, did you? I think you did. Yeah, you got like a, did you? No, no, I think you got the oh no, we got a morning button, we got money. That's what you got. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yes, yeah, that was gas, it was so good, so we did that, and when we did that it was kind of raining, it was kind of sprinkling but it was the vibe yeah, but it was cool and we were like in sweat.

Speaker 2:

Everyone was in like sweat. We had our umbrellas out.

Speaker 1:

I don't know why, but walking around in San Francisco with croissant in your hand and then an umbrella in the other, it felt like a vibe.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, truly, with a what in your hand? A croissant. A croissant and an umbrella. Hearing you say croissant makes me think of you made me drive by Crescent. Do you remember that vine? Yeah, oh, I miss vine. Okay, vine was so good, good, so we got, we went to the bakery and then, whenever we go, adi drives cause she's like a native San. What is it? San Franciscan? San Franciscan, how do you say that? Sure.

Speaker 1:

Sure.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

She's a native to San Francisco. She's san francisco native american bay area, that's I'm not a, I'm not native but I'm a I'm a local.

Speaker 3:

Now, there you go, so she's a local to san francisco so she knows that drive, she knows that parallel park.

Speaker 2:

My bitch has cannot parallel park, so, um, so adi drives whenever we go. I say I'm passenger, princess, usually all the time, and martin's in the back, all that to say that we go and adi was like oh, let's go do this. Um, the palace of fine arts, the palace of fine arts. And I didn't know what to expect because we pulled up and it was like this big building, right, um, but we go walking and it was free to get in, which was cool. Um, but it was, I guess, from the world, not a world trade center. That's the wrong one. How do you want to explain?

Speaker 1:

okay, yeah, explain that to us so, okay, the world showcase.

Speaker 2:

I don't know if you heard me, marty, when I was telling her about this, but the world showcase was the thing that happened like in the fucking early 20th century, where major cities would come together and host these things called the world showcase, the world show fair, some shit like that, and it was a big deal. Like the first time electricity was ever like shown, was at this huge palace, like crystal palace, in like somewhere in europe and it and like it was just like the newest innovations of the world and like can you imagine watching electricity for the first time? Yeah, that's cool, just just shit like that. Like another fun fact is like in the 60s, uh, one was housed and in new york and that's where like walt disney like debuted a bunch of his shit. So like the small world. It was. Like he was like I'm gonna make this right in disneyland and like it was like you sold.

Speaker 2:

You said disneyland, my ears perked up. I, I, I knew my audience. Um, she knows what she's like. Yeah, it's this thing that it's a big deal for big cities to host them, and it's just like innovation and it's really cool and they try to one up each other, right, yeah, and so they build these. Like it's not like a little fair. That's like they have little carnival rides and they come and they leave. No, like they like build whole structures. So this Palestine Arts was made in honor of that, to host it, for example, the Seattle seattle needlepoint like the big tall skyscraper over there.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, looking, it was made for the world's fair. That's crazy. Just it's a really. It's a really like specific niche little topic and it's so fucking nerdy, but I'm obsessed with it. So if you guys are bored, one day watch world show world's fair videos on youtube. They're really fun and kind of creepy. So, yeah, I 100.

Speaker 2:

Well, yeah, so we went to the lawyer, the what they have a lord to them. They're really fun. I'll watch them. I like weird things, um, yeah, so adi was explaining that to me when we were there and I was like, no way, they just built this to like show off, and they did. It's beautiful and it's outdoors. That's what I mean. It's crazy, yeah, it's just like public spaces like that are just a normal thing here in sf and I fucking love it. Yeah, and like beautiful buildings. Literally, you just like walk through and you're like, oh, my god, am I in greece?

Speaker 1:

like it was so pretty yeah, and it's cool to like really sit there and be like fuck, they did this, a lot of the designs, but like I can't like yeah there's no type of machine back in the day like that to even figure something like I. Just what is it called sculpting?

Speaker 2:

yeah, like the sculpture. Yeah, I just can't. Yeah, I mean, I can't even draw, shit was made I know, google it. I don't think it's that old I mean I'm sure they had machinery, but it's still gorgeous nevertheless. No, yeah, it's pretty, and it was like there's like a fountain on the side of it.

Speaker 2:

When we were there, there was like a group of dancers and they were like they had a whole like routine not entourage, but they had like a nice camera and like they had a thing and they kept dancing to like the song they were the jabberwockies, stop it.

Speaker 1:

No, they were, I'm fucking dead.

Speaker 3:

He's like they were the blue man arts um built in 1915 1915.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, dang construction from concrete and still, and the building was claimed to be fireproof. Oh wow, that's almost what. 100 years is 2015? 100 and like 20, nine years, 100, wait, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 21, 22, 23, 24.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, you're right, like nine years, duh because we're in 2024 what um yeah 1950 is a long time and it still looks like pretty well maintained. Yeah, it's a landmark, it's. It's fucking gorgeous, especially at night. Yeah, we went during the day, it was so pretty, we took pictures um arty started trying out with the jab walkies. Imagine so after that we walked back to the car and then we were kind of like lost because it was kind of rainy, Like the weather wasn't ugly, but it wasn't ideal for the park and everything was all wet.

Speaker 2:

So we were saying, let's go. It was pretty early too. Huh, yeah, it was early. It was probably like 12. That's when I say like noon, but we are one for the food. So we were like, well, let's just have dinner, let's go have like lunch pre-game dinner yeah, let's pre-game dinner, essentially honestly yeah, yeah, that's what happened.

Speaker 2:

So then adi, um, adi was saying that there's this mex place she's going to have to tell you the name of the city and all that but there's this Mexican place that she wanted to try out. Adi, I'll pass it to you and you can talk about the Mexican place that you didn't know was worth the hype or not, okay, okay. So El Faralito, I believe, is what it's called. So context, more context. San francisco is not a mexican city, like, it's just not, and there's nothing wrong with that. It's just I was flabbergasted when I came here, because I was like, of course it is, it's gonna be freaking. It's california and like I went to, I went to school in the east bay. So, like in the east bay, which is like oakland area, there's like Mexicans there and like Mexican food, and I thought that I was like, yeah, how different can it be?

Speaker 2:

Across a bridge to a different city, everyone here is Salvadoran. Like, literally, why are we like that, which is dope? Like the main thing that people eat are like pupusas here. Like they're not, like you're not finding your street apples, like you're eating pupusas, yeah, yeah, it's cool, um, and fucking delicious, but there's just not Mexican food like. And if there is Mexican food, it's like very regional. So like your beans are going to be black beans, yeah. Or like white rice and it's cool, just different, yeah. So everyone doesn't shut the fuck up about these burritos. In the mission called from Faravito and I was like how good can they be? Because these people that keep talking about them are fucking gentrifiers. They're all techies, they're all white, they're bringing something ohio like.

Speaker 1:

It can't be that good they're like chipotle and it doesn't.

Speaker 2:

It's not valid yeah, like I don't know, I was just like yes, how are we gonna be like an average burrito, like I grew up in fucking fresno, like we said?

Speaker 2:

I know mexican food I know mexican food so I was like, fuck it, let's just go to the mission. I told them, let's see if it's worth the hype. Um, yeah, sure, let's go. So we go, and it's just like a taqueria. And um, yeah, cat thought we had to take her idea and because it's also connected to a bar, yeah. And I was like, damn, I left my id because one thing in san francisco you're not parking in front. There are no parking lots like you're parking you're parking like blocks up right.

Speaker 2:

So when I was there I was like, oh, I'm gonna leave my wallet. Me and martin have like a joint account. So I was like, just use the card on the joint account, I don't need my wallet. But from the front it looked like a bar. So I was like are they gonna let me in? Because I left my id in the car and I'm not trying to hike up this mountain to go get it.

Speaker 3:

So that's a mountain.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, the mountain's dramatic, I only it was like a block and a half, but I was like I don't want to have to, like, go get it 10 steps away.

Speaker 1:

You're such a liar.

Speaker 2:

I'm just saying because, like I just said like relative to last time oh girl, the mountain last time was insane that was astronomical bro we already did I think we did right. Yeah, I think we talked about, I don't think so.

Speaker 3:

We didn't talk about it.

Speaker 1:

I want to say that we did the trip in december.

Speaker 2:

Okay, well, to give you guys context, we go to visit adi during christmas time because adi's always wanted to do christmas in san francisco, because she's lived there three years. Now. Adi, two years, three years, yeah, three years, and she's never like fully experienced christmas in sf. Because she's lived there three years now. Howdy, two years, three years, yeah, three years, and she's never like fully experienced christmas in sf. That she's told me at least. So I was like, hey, let's go during christmas and see what sf has to like.

Speaker 2:

Offer us right yeah so we ended up going for the. What was it?

Speaker 2:

the santa run yeah, yeah santa con, yeah, santa con, where everyone is dressed as santa. Old people, young people, like people of all age, shapes and sizes were dressing as Santa Claus. So, anywhere you turn that day, when we were in SF, you saw Santa Claus, right, but there's this pretty hotel, um, and it's the Fairmont Adi Period. Yeah, it's ingrained in my brain now. Um, literally in the Fairmount. It was a beautiful, beautiful hotel. I took a picture of it and everything. It was beautiful. It's giving sweet life for zach and cody.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, truly, um fun fact I think I did was the one that told me that they did shang chi. They shot shang chi yeah one of the scenes right in front of it?

Speaker 2:

yes, yeah, yeah, that's the hotel he valets at, yeah, so we were at the fairmont and they have. Well, we went to visit her and the reason that we were going to the Fairmont is because they have like a life size gingerbread house that you can like walk through. So she was like, yeah, this is really cool. I've always wanted to see it, blah blah. And I was like, yeah, ok, cool. I think that day the only thing I had was a Starbucks and I'm lactose intolerant one.

Speaker 2:

We stopped by and we grabbed some some breakfast and the adrenaline from just finishing the fucking escape room. Yeah, and then the escape room, like we were, like I was running on fumes here and we go, and adi was like, oh, we'll just walk to the fairmount, we'll just walk because we ubered to the we ubered to the um to the escape room so then we were just right there, so you have your car in that area, like you do not want a car in that area.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it's so busy, it's like so crowded, like. And then it was santa con. There were people all over the place. She was like we can just walk. And I'm like, yeah, let's just walk, like fuck it, you know. So we go to the square, we see the big christmas tree, it's beautiful. And then adi was like, okay, we'll walk, it's like three, it's like four blocks. And I was like I can do four blocks, like let's go. She, she forgot to tell me that it's four blocks.

Speaker 2:

Up a mountain, I'm like scaling mount everest, trying to go up these four blocks, right. And when I tell you they're like four, like it we're damn near parallel, like it's. So it's so steep. There's literally a staircase like next to the sidewalk if you want to use the stairs instead of walking uphill. It was so steep. I can't explain to you how steep it was. I'm not a fit bitch, okay, I'm not one for exercise. So when we started going, even martin, who does go to the gym, was like struggling, like we were struggling. Adi was like you just have to go.

Speaker 1:

Adi was damn near running it. Don't get it twisted. I don't do cardio fucking.

Speaker 2:

Adi was like. Adi was like you just have to go, you can't stop, you just go I go lift weights I was like cardio on the other hand cardio got hands dude truly, and it knocks.

Speaker 2:

So adi was like you just have to go. You, just once you start, you just have to go. I was like, okay, we go. I was like, okay, the first one, not bad, the first one I can do, bro, we go. Adi was like you're gonna kill me. It's like three more. I was like, okay, fuck it. Like we're already here, let's go. So we go again. The second one I'm like, wow, I'm like out of breath, bro, like this is difficult, dude. The third one I was like sweating, I was fucking, I was, I was down, bad, I was down, tremendous, I was going up backwards. I was like maybe this will feel better out of your fucking running. And then I get to the fourth one and I'm like I'm going to throw up, I'm, I'm, I can't make it. I'm going to throw up Adi's at the top. And then Martin I keep looking at Martin and I keep pulling over and stopping and I'm like, dude, I don't feel good, like I'm, I don't feel well.

Speaker 1:

I'm not even gonna lie. I am focused, I need to get to the top. I'm like, nope, I'm getting to the top regardless he's not even trying to talk to me bro, I'm in full locked in. Demons are out, it's going on cardio, full effect no, I'm like.

Speaker 2:

I look at him and Adi is full ass ahead of me. She's already waiting for us at top. I look at Martin and I was like dude, I swear to god, I'm gonna throw up like there's no way. I'm hot and sweaty. It's like I'm wearing a long sleeve and fucking jeans. I'm like I'm suffocating right now. I'm going down bad.

Speaker 1:

I look at Karen and I'm like you can do it. Come on, let's go. Literally he's like let's go.

Speaker 2:

We finally get to the top and we're at the entrance of the Fairmont.

Speaker 2:

Hold on, give me a minute. Like I'm fucking exhausted bitch. I was like, yeah, take your time. Blah, blah. I'm like, damn, I'm such a fat bitch dude, I can't do this. I'm sitting there, my hands are on top of my head. I'm like leaning over. I'm like I'm gonna throw up. We walk into the fairmont and I'm like where's the bathroom? I didn't say a word after that. Adi's running. We're running around this, running around this hotel, trying to find the restaurant. They're like it's down this corner. It's down this corner, dude. Adi's like running, busting her ass. I get in the bathroom. There's a fucking line. I'm sitting there with throw up in my mouth. I'm throw, I threw up in my mouth. I'm waiting and I'm like I can't do this. I finally get in line. This lady. She's like do you need to go in front? I was like, please, this lady, let me cut her. I go up there. I throw up again in the bathroom. I come out and I was like okay, what else are we doing?

Speaker 2:

like let's continue on with the day. All that to say back to. It wasn't a mountain like we had to hike in December. It was very small. If I had to, I could have ran back and get my ID.

Speaker 1:

Thankfully.

Speaker 2:

I did not, so yeah.

Speaker 3:

So the burritos Did we even get a fucking burrito.

Speaker 2:

We didn't get a fucking burrito no, oh, we didn't.

Speaker 1:

No, I got a torta of course you did um, okay, so yeah, we didn't get burritos.

Speaker 2:

We me and adi ended up sharing nachos because we were in a pre-game.

Speaker 1:

We were pre-great pre-game yeah, I was trying to get a burrito, yeah.

Speaker 2:

So when we went the last time we went um, we got dumplings, because I love dumplings. Um, so this time we were going to run it back and get dumplings again, because I was craving dim sum.

Speaker 1:

I was craving the noodles yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2:

So we were gonna get dim sum again.

Speaker 1:

So all all day we were like I'd like to clarify for the listeners is that every time that or the last time that we went, you guys thought that I didn't like anything that Adi picked. Let me clarify I liked everything. I fucked with everything that she picked. Yeah, but you guys were like what's it called? I really was just craving the dim sum that we had last time.

Speaker 2:

Yeah. So that was like we were like, okay, we'll get dim sum for dinner, let's pregame lunch or pregame dinner. So that's what we did. We went to the taco place, the Mexican place. Me and Adi shared nachos that were gas and Martin got a torta that was also gas. We all ended up sharing and it was so good. Right, the torta was my favorite, really. Yeah, I was fired.

Speaker 3:

I didn't really try it. It was like a bolillo bread.

Speaker 2:

What was it? It was like a crusty, different type of bread, but it was so good it worked so well, it was like they left it toasting a little extra, so that way it has that crunch.

Speaker 2:

I like the nachos and it had so much cheese on it that would probably didn't do me well, but it was so good. Um, so we're in the mission and we were like, oh, we were at this. Um, we were eating for a little bit and then we were like, okay, like what now? Like there were really no real plans, like we were just kind of like winging it definitely like the spur of the moment type of trip yeah.

Speaker 2:

So then adi was like oh, there's this place called mr liquor. And I was like uh, and she was like it's this place called mr liquor, and they have like drinks like already made I think that's how you explained it to me.

Speaker 1:

They have drinks like pre-made or something like that they're in baggies, like they'll have the, the beverage that goes with it. Um, that could be like a soda or it could be something for you to mix into it. They don't have the alcohol in these little small forms. They're like shooters, yeah, the little shooters. And then you, you mix them all together to make your own little cocktail yeah, so I didn't know all that.

Speaker 2:

So adi says hey, let's go to the what? Was it called mr liquor um how far it wasn't that far huh. No, it was like a five minute walk so we get so we get in there and I don't know what to expect. He's just like oh, they have drinks here, blah blah, and I was like, okay, so we walk in. Why is it like a club? Why do they?

Speaker 2:

got a disco ball going. They got the tunes pumping, they're like groups of girls, um, like literally in the back, and I was like, oh my god, like again, I didn't know what to expect. He just said like, oh, they have these drinks here, so we go. And it's like, literally, like martin was saying, like bag, like baggies that are pre-made, like have the ingredients for a drink. So I got mine. Was called pink nipples and it was a smirnoff ice. It had, um, was it one or two tequila shooters, adi, do you remember?

Speaker 1:

it depended on the drink, because yours had two I think mine had two.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah, you're right, don julio, yeah, don julio. And then it had the um, the smirnoff, the little one, yeah, and then they wasn't it. So then when you buy it, they give you a cup of ice and they give you a lollipop, and then you literally mix it at the store and you can walk around and drink it. How do you got what was yours called ad Adi, it was called La Mission, it was kind of boring, and yours had. How many it had like.

Speaker 1:

It had pineapple juice.

Speaker 2:

It had a Bacardi, like a Casamigos I think, and then I think one more like tequila no-transcript, um, um, but yeah, so we did all that. We go outside.

Speaker 2:

they had a whole like they had like two or three of the like liquor store refrigerators full of these bags and the names were so funny so creative and like just for context of how much, there's a sign on top that says don't think, just get it, because there's has to be at least 20 to 50, like 20 to 15 different types of fucking drinks, anything like there were so many.

Speaker 1:

And then you see the girl in the front counter she's making yeah, she's making them as we're like buying them.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, but it was so cool, like the vibe in there was so funny, like they had like good music on. They were like and you can tell, like you really couldn't, you really shouldn't think and just pick one, because there were so many like I was like trying to find one with the things I like and there was always one that had like, oh, I'd like this one better, I like this one better, I like this one better. Um, yeah, but it was just cool to like, it was just cool to experience. Um, yeah, so that's what we did we got it go ahead.

Speaker 2:

I'm looking at the picture right now. I'm looking at the picture of it right now and it's really funny. So there's like an amf, like you have your basic ones, but then you have like big 10 inch which has like serac and uh, sprite. And then I'm trying to see other ones, cheeks. There's one called clapping cheeks, which is fucking funny. Um, booty call gangster colada, yeah, um, happy motherfucking birthday. And like any drink, any alcohol you think of, like there's like kenny fucking syrah, literally everything, like anything is in this fucking red bulls. Like it was crazy. Yeah, yeah, maybe we'll. I think I have a video.

Speaker 2:

We'll post it on the broke boys instagram I made a reel, I posted a whole reel about the the trip I know, but I have a video specific to like the drinks, so we'll post that so you guys can see what I mean.

Speaker 1:

I even have the full video of Adi breaking her drink and she's pouring it.

Speaker 2:

So we buy the drinks. Adi bought the drinks because, again, my wallet was in the damn car. So we buy the drinks, we go outside and there's like this little table out there and I was like kind of scared because I was like you can't drink in public, like I don't know. I was kind of scared, this is just what you do. Like that's what you do. And I was like, okay, so there was a table there and you literally mix everything at that table. Well, I'm mixing my drink and I'm pouring all the liquor in first, and adi's doing it too, and I was like so entranced in my drink. Adi was like grab it, grab it. I was like grab, grab what? Like I was so confused because I was doing my drink and your cup broke right.

Speaker 3:

Mm-hmm.

Speaker 2:

How did it break, do you know? So, like Kat said, they give you a cup of ice and the ice is already like packed and like in a freezer, and they just give you that cup that already has ice in it, mm-hmm, and they're like very thin cups and so, with that being said, they're like already portioned out. So all the ice was like frozen together. So I squeezed the cup so it could, um, loosen up the ice they could pour the drink in. And then it, the plastic was so thin that it broke the cup.

Speaker 2:

I was very, very sad, cracked it, dude. Yeah. So then she was like grab it, grab it. I was like grab what? And then, before I know it, she's like gone. I was like what happened? So she put the drink in her bag that had all this stuff in it and then she just went and got another cup of ice. Yeah, and what did the mouth, if you kind of brown, if you know what I mean you were like I don't know how I feel about you calling me that. He's like okay, you said I need another cup of ice, sir, yeah, um, and he was like chica, chica, don't squeeze the cup. I was like no fucking shit, dude, it's a little late for that, but thank you um yeah, so yeah, that's literally what we did.

Speaker 2:

We mixed it um, and then we were go. So me and adi walked it was like a 10 minute walk back to the car, um. So we were just drinking it as we were walking. So martin adi was like, okay, you have to drive, martin doesn't drink um. So martin drove us and adi. This is another thing. Adi was like okay, you have to drive, martin doesn't drink um, so martin drove us and adi. This is another thing.

Speaker 2:

Adi was like, okay, she was giving martin directions because we were gonna go to the park and we're gonna chill at the park and like drink a little bit, because by this time the sun had came out. Um, and he she tells martin, just park, park right here. And then martin starts parking or whatever. And then she was like wait, I think we can get closer. How can we turn the corner?

Speaker 2:

The park's like three blocks up and I was like I said we're gonna have another mountain situation. She was like thank god we didn't park there. It was like three blocks up and again it was like a mountain. I was like, oh no, I said we would have turned this corner and got back in the car. I'm not scaling this mountain, bro. So we started driving and then I tell adi. I was like, well, if we're gonna go play the switch, because I don't know why, in my head, in my head when we're playing strip, adi said I want to play overcooked. So in my head all day I was just trying to play overcooked. So I was like, okay, if you're, if we're gonna like play overcooked, we should play while we're drinking yeah.

Speaker 2:

Like we should play while we're drinking, so let's just go back to your apartment. And she was like okay, so we go back to her apartment.

Speaker 1:

Were you guys already like heavily buzzed by this point.

Speaker 2:

I was drinking. I chugged the drink in the car and then we went to Whole Foods for like two seconds, yeah, and then we went to whole foods for like two seconds, yeah. So like that allowed it to settle in a little bit more too, yeah, so I think by the time we got to the apartment we were pretty intoxicated. Very good, we were buzzed. Honestly, it wasn't. We weren't like drunk, drunk, we were just like we were feeling good.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, we went to whole foods and there was this couple that were filming a whole.

Speaker 2:

Uh, I don't know what they were filming they're filming something.

Speaker 1:

It looked like an awkward first date.

Speaker 2:

It looked like it was a class project. Truly, I don't know what they were filming. They're filming something. They were filming something. It looked like an awkward first date. It looked like it was a class project. Truly, I don't know yeah um, yeah, so we get back to the apartment. We're like a little buzz and um I I chugged my drink, I think, before adi, so I was on the come down yours, it was nasty.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yours it was nasty, yeah, that's why I had to chug it. But um, I was on the come down and adi was like at the peak of hers yeah, so then adi was like well because I got another beer when I got home too, yeah, yeah yeah, so then um, we started playing overcooked it's a tall yeah, it was a good size, and I'm not really a beer drinker.

Speaker 2:

She's like do you want one? I was like no, um, so we're laying in her bed. All three of us are just laying in our bed playing overcooked and, um, I think we played like one or two rounds maybe.

Speaker 2:

Yeah because you guys are just my tv's so small so I couldn't see shit either. Yeah, and then we were kind of like we were just like everything, we were just laughing at everything, like it was just funny. So then she was like, oh, do you want a beer? And I was like, no, I don't, I'm not a beer drinker. She was like, well, I think I have vodka in the freezer. And I was like now we're talking um. So she was like do you want vodka? I'm a tequila girl, but if vodka's there, I mean I guess I'll drink it, right? So, um, she gives it to me. And I was like you don't have a chaser or something like vodka's nasty to me. And she's like, well, I have this spicy mango drink which I tried, and it wasn't the vibe. So then I was like what else do you have? And she had pickles. So we did pickleback shots, which I don't know why we don't do those more often.

Speaker 2:

They like cut the alcohol so fast yeah they're so gas they're so good and the electrolytes keep you a little hydrated. We were like I'm fucking dead, we're using our big brains right there, uh-huh. So we took like two or three shots, like over the course or whatever.

Speaker 1:

So we were like feeling good, you know I come back and then I look at you guys and you guys like we just took pickle shots, yeah I was like that's interesting. Okay, okay, thank you um.

Speaker 2:

So then we were playing overcooked for a little bit, and adi was like, oh, let's watch the sunset, or no, she was like, let's watch the sunset, let's go to the beach. And we were like, okay, so then Adi's and Martin's fully our DD, now he's fully taking responsibility for us. We walked, we walked to the liquor store that's by Adi's house, and I was so hungry because, again, we had eaten earlier. At this point it's like four or five, adi, do you think it's? Or later, probably later, probably like six or seven yeah, because the sun wasn't.

Speaker 2:

Because the sun was set, yeah, okay, so it was like six or seven, all we had was the burrito, the nachos from earlier. So I was like kind of hungry. So we go to the liquor store and they have like the adult lunchables, like with the salami, the cheese, the crackers, whatever. And then adi was like adi was trying to keep the good vibes going. Adi was like let's get a bottle of wine and we'll drink it at the beach.

Speaker 2:

And like blah, blah, I was like nah, girl, like I'm good, like I'm chilling right now, like yeah I don't want, I wasn't fucking with it, right you guys were fully, like fully feeling it yeah, yeah at this point, I remember and adi was like, yeah, let's get a bottle of wine, and I'm like no, like I don't drink wine, like on on the beach, I don't know, and they didn't have Stella Rose, so that kind of turned me off.

Speaker 1:

Turned me off is crazy.

Speaker 2:

Turned me off, yeah. So then she was like, okay, let's get a beer Again. I'm not a beer drinker, but I got a modelo. What did I get? Are you pineapple?

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

I think I got the salt. Yeah, I think I got the salt in line. I got the salt in line, yeah, or I got orange, something like that, anyways. So we get the beer, we go to the no, we get the beer and we walk back to adi's house and we don't want my bus to go away, okay yeah, no valid, valid. So we're walking back to adi's house and we're eating. We don't even wait. We're like two steps out the door and we open these adult lunchables, right?

Speaker 1:

I bought one for me and I will you say it as we were walking. Do you remember what?

Speaker 2:

you were saying no, she literally we were walking the streets of san francisco and she was like charcuterie board on fleek. I was like shut up. And she's like why? I was like you shut up please.

Speaker 1:

And one thing about my neighborhood it's quite as fuck, though it's so quiet you guys are loud as fuck and I'm just like walking right behind you, so we're just me and adi are just bopping around martin's like someone's about to racially profile us right now.

Speaker 2:

I swear to god, dude. So they were eating the adult lunchables. Adi gets her coochie board on fleek. I'm like, bitch, shut up and eat your coochie board, please. And then she drops the meat, she opens it, she's dancing around and the meat falls out right. So Martin was like, oh my god, adi, your meat. And she turns around and I was like, damn, she's just gonna have to eat cheese and crackers.

Speaker 2:

You know, no, this bitch picks up everything besides the one that touched the floor and put it back in her container and continued to eat it. It was like three pieces of salami. I was not gonna let that go to waste. She said I'm not taking that at all. Pieces of salami, I was not gonna let that go to waste. I'm not taking that at all, especially at the price. Fuck that, truly. So she got it and then we were just, we just continued to eat it. We finally get back to her house. We're like, okay, let's go to the beach, like, let's go. We were gonna get firewood. Because addy was like, let's do a bonfire at the beach. I was like, okay, cool, so okay, I. I like stopped because I felt like you guys weren't into it, see, and I was into it. But then I was like OK, like where are we going to get the wood? And you were like we don't have to.

Speaker 3:

And I was like OK, so whatever so we didn't end up getting it.

Speaker 2:

We get to the beach. Adi has a blanket in her car. We go, we start. I was taking pictures of Marty. It was like the sunset I took some pictures of.

Speaker 1:

Adi.

Speaker 2:

We took some pictures together and then we're just like laying there. I think we were playing. We're Not Really Strangers, right.

Speaker 1:

Yes.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I pulled it up, life hack. If you guys don't want to play card games like pay for them, look it up on Quizlet and they're all on Quizlet. Yeah, that was a life hack, so she had it on all three of us just sitting there we were drinking the beer deep moment. Yeah, it was like a little vibe, yeah, it was very much like golden hour in like the fullest. It was such a gorgeous sunset. Yeah, it was so pretty.

Speaker 2:

It wasn't that cold yet because it was still the sun was still out yeah um, but adi was drinking the beer and I was like I'm not a beer drinker, so I had some of mine, but I wasn't like drinking it, whereas adi was like drinking her beer, you know, yeah, so we're playing, we're not really strangers. The sun's setting, I'm like adi, I'm not gonna drink this beer. And she was like, well, don't waste it. So she puts my beer and mixes it with her beer in her can and then she's, she drinks them both. Yeah do you remember that, adi, I mixed it.

Speaker 1:

I don't know how you're mixing it.

Speaker 3:

That's sicko, yeah you I said don't do that.

Speaker 2:

I said don't do that and you were like, just put it in one. I'm almost done with mine, so you mixed it. You know why I did that. I did that because yours was too sweet and mine was like limey, so I was like it's gonna balance it'll balance out, did it?

Speaker 1:

She doesn't remember Probably.

Speaker 2:

She's like couldn't tell you. Yeah. So she poured mine into hers and I was like I'm not going to drink it, so go off girl. And she drinks it right Now. I feel like I was still buzzing a little bit, but Adi's fully intoxicated, right? Uh-huh Can confirm. So we get back to the car we're just talking about. I don't even know what at this point. It's like eight something. The sun's setting right, it's late and then we were like okay, let's go get dim sum I'm excited martin's like let's go get dim sum and then adi was like I have to go pee and I was like you can't wait.

Speaker 2:

And she was like no, I have to go pee. And I was like, okay, so we, her house is. And she was like no, I have to go pee. And I was like, okay, so we, her house is so close to the beach, so we go back to her house. We go back to her house and she pees and I was like, oh, my God, I have to go pee too. So I go pee. She goes first I in the restroom and she's fully laying like face down, like face down ass, no, not even ass up, just face down, like she was just her legs. Her legs are like open and her arms are like out, just laying down, okay oh, all right, no like her arm, no like in a star like in the star formation.

Speaker 2:

She's laying in her bed, right. I'm like I walk out and I'm like, adi, let's go. And at this point I'm not paying attention to the time, like this. The sun just set, so I'm like it's still early, let's go grab dinner and then we can go right. So then I was like adi, come on, this bitch is not moving. She's not moving. I'm like adi martin's in the car. We have to go. She was like I can't, I can't. I said, adi, I'm gonna leave you, bro, like we're just gonna go home, then like we let's go to dinner and then we'll drop you back off and then we'll go home. And she's like I can't, I don't want to I don't want to, and I was like okay, whatever.

Speaker 2:

So I finally I was like, okay, I'm gonna be outside, then I'll wait for you, right? Because my thought process is, if maybe she'll just get up and like try to turn off the light and she might as well go outside, you know. So we're sitting there, nothing, literally nothing. She's not moving. I said, okay, then I'm leaving, I walk outside, she finally comes out right, she gets in the passenger seat and she's giving marty directions. We sit in the passenger seat, we start pulling out of her driveway and she's like guys, I really can't do this, I really can't. And she's like, guys, I really can't do this, I really can't. I'm like what do you mean? And she was like I can't, I need to go to bed, I can't, I can't. Like okay. I said, okay, we'll just go to bed and we'll just go home then. And she was like okay.

Speaker 2:

So then we literally pull in the driveway, we go inside to get our stuff. She's fully laying in bed, fully like tucked herself in, got whatever blanket she could, got whatever blanket she could. No, you were drunk girl Like go off. So then I told Martin I was like okay, well, we'll just leave and I'll just shut her garage. That way you didn't have to get up. So then she was laying there fully tucked in martin's, like what about dim sum? Because martin's still kind of in the car, like he's just seeing me like talk to you, right? So so then martin's like what about dim sum? I said, dude, everything's close. We start googling.

Speaker 2:

Everything closes at 9 pm I fucking hate that yeah that's the one character flaw of san francisco everything's closed by 9 pm. So I was like, maybe me and you can just go somewhere really quick and then we'll go home.

Speaker 2:

Everything was closed everything every single thing was closed. So then I was like, in and out, it is like, let's go. So then I'm like, okay, we're gonna leave. And she's like, okay, she walks us out barely, she goes to the edge of her garage, she waves to us, she shuts her garage and, like a walking zombie, goes back inside. I said, okay, bye, bro. We get in the car and I'm like I'm kind of sad we didn't get dim sum, right, yeah?

Speaker 1:

so I'm like I'm kind of, but cat was super tired for the day I was.

Speaker 2:

No, I was coming down from a buzz too, so then I was like that's why I'm like.

Speaker 1:

I was like we need food kind of.

Speaker 2:

I need food kind of quick, and then I can knock out, you know and then your tire light comes on?

Speaker 1:

no, yeah, so that doesn't say go ahead say it.

Speaker 2:

You heard tire light comes on. No, yeah, so that's what I'm saying go ahead say it.

Speaker 1:

You heard tire light comes on and I'm like fuck bro, and I gotta tell okay, I've been telling cat like you need to replace your tires, like it's about time, and cat hasn't hasn't like put that in her thought right now that's not my journey until my until I need a tire. So then, I was like all right bro, so then the light tire light comes on. I'm like fuck, all right bro. So then the tire light comes on. I'm like fuck All right, where's the gas station? At.

Speaker 2:

I'm still coming down from a buzz right and I'm like I'm hungry, I'm tired. I was like I just want to go to bed. And he's like something's wrong with your tire and I'm like don't sit, stop playing with me right now. And he was like no, so I google chevron because chevron has the air machine. I google chevron, there's one like four minutes from your house we pull up of course the liquor store is closed.

Speaker 2:

The liquor store is closed. I was like, fuck, I hope you can pay at the air station and we go and you could. And there we are. I'm there, like coming down from the buzz martin's, like I have a flashlight on martin's, like checking the air in my tire, and then we finally get on the road and I think I knock out. I don't make it long you pass out I don't even did we eat? No, we didn't even eat anything. Yeah, we get in the car because I just chugged.

Speaker 1:

Uh, I had two energy drinks, I had my ghost energy drink and I had a c4. Just because that trip, the beginning of that trip, remember, I stayed up until like three in the morning yeah, it was a little rough with ivan um that day. So it was like, uh, it was just one of those those days of like fuck, I have no rest, but then we're just jamming out yeah, so I drove the first half of the trip because you were still sleepy and you drove the second half getting there so then, on the way back.

Speaker 2:

I was coming down from like a buzz or from being drunk, so you drove until I don't even know when.

Speaker 1:

I drove at least.

Speaker 2:

I had an hour left to drive home.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, so I drove us all the way passing like what Kilroy? No you drove us deep. Where were we? I don't know, los.

Speaker 2:

Baños? No, it wasn't. It was like a small-ass little town. I don't know what it was, but wakes me up. He like wakes me up. He's like dude, I'm falling asleep, you have to, you have to drive, and I was just in a deep slumber right, that's just me after like a ghost energy drink and two and two c4, no, yeah yeah. So he wakes me up and he's like dude, you have to drive. I wake up from a slumber and I was like, okay, I got it.

Speaker 1:

I got it.

Speaker 2:

My e is on e and he's like can you drive? And I was like, yeah, yeah, yeah, I just. I was like where the fuck are we, dude like? And it was raining, so everything was all wet. I was like where are we? And he's like I don't know, I just pulled over oh, we were in turlock turlock because we stopped by the gas station.

Speaker 1:

I was like, look, I've done this gas station, that's what it was so it was like almost midnight, it was like 11 something.

Speaker 2:

So he was like you have to drive, you have to drive. I was like I got it, bro. Like he falls asleep, I turn on the hamilton playlist because one thing about me is I'm gonna sing hamilton. So I turn on the hamilton playlist and I'm like jamming out and I'm just singing to keep myself awake, right. All of a sudden it hits me we haven't eaten anything. I'm hungry, right. So we're driving and every place that I like try to look like I'm looking at their clothes, like the thing, this, the stories that you can see from the, from the freeway, like all the lights were off and I was like damn it. I said, well, if we make it home before two o'clock, in and out is open. I was like period, so we get home, we get in and out, we literally drive inside, get to our house. I'm asleep by like 2 30 and that was our trip and I call that successful Great.

Speaker 2:

Damn, you guys got there that late. Yeah Well, we left at nine and then we kind of caught traffic on the way out. I don't know why we caught traffic right on the bridge.

Speaker 1:

It was bumper to bumper.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, that's normal On the bridge we caught, and then I couldn't tell you because after the bridge I knocked the hell out. Though when I was driving it was literally smooth sailing, like there was no one on the road. I was zooming, yeah. Well, I feel like I woke up around like 1.30 and I got your Snapchat, that you got that. You were at In-N-Out. That was like pretty cool.

Speaker 1:

Oh, and the In-N-Out line was long too, oh my. God yeah the In-N-Out line was so long, it was like 1 in the morning. I said you crackheads go home as two crackheads, as two crackheads are sitting there.

Speaker 2:

I was like, bro, go home. And he was like no. I was like go home and literally there was a line out of the driveway and they just expanded it. That's how it always is, I know. That's why I was like that's ridiculous. And I was like they put crack in their burgers. No, for real, hey, and I'm gonna get one every time and that's why I'm addicted but yeah, that was our trip to sf it was a successful day trip, for sure yeah, thanks for coming no

Speaker 2:

we love going to visit, so I know I feel like I want you guys to stay the night, though, because I always feel bad when you guys get home so late. I know, but that's one thing about us we're gonna sleep in our own bed, I know that's the problem yeah, cat's very much about that.

Speaker 1:

She doesn't like spending the night anywhere always yeah one thing about me is I'm no that's true I'm consistent.

Speaker 2:

One thing about me I'm consistent. I'm not gonna switch up on you. Literally I'm the girl I've always been. Um no, but yeah, that was our trip. We'll probably go Once or twice in the summer.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, do you have any Summer plans Coming up?

Speaker 2:

I do. Next week I'm going to Europe Wow, where are you going? So Tuesday I'm flying out, I I'm going to copenhagen, which is in denmark, okay, and then we're gonna go, we're gonna spend three days over there and then take a flight down to berlin germany wow, berlin's. And then, and then go take a train over to amsterdam, which I'm so fucking excited about, me too, and then, and then we're gonna come back.

Speaker 1:

Um, we be, me and my co-worker that's cool that's so fun, huh yeah she turned to dominic torredo, traveling the world who dominic torredo don't say who fast and furious girl.

Speaker 2:

Fictional character. Fast and furious. Fast and furious yeah, you haven't seen that franchise oh never, what hey? One thing about a cat and marty. They're gonna watch the franchise yeah, we are hell yeah I love that about you guys. And one thing about audio she will not.

Speaker 1:

Except for Harry Potter.

Speaker 2:

She doesn't even watch Harry Potter.

Speaker 1:

I've never seen Harry Potter.

Speaker 2:

I've seen the first one.

Speaker 1:

Let me find out. You just read the books.

Speaker 2:

She didn't even read the books.

Speaker 1:

I didn't even read the book. Hang up. End the call over here.

Speaker 2:

She hasn't, and you're the one that called me a nerd. You're like, when I saw you in high school, I thought you were a fucking nerd you still are.

Speaker 1:

What do you?

Speaker 2:

mean, who's the one that's a Harry Potter fan? Though Facts Got you there, got me there, got me there. Yeah, one thing about us we're going to watch a franchise. And one thing about Adi is she will not. I just have very low, no entertainment Time.

Speaker 1:

Sure, I just have very low.

Speaker 2:

Um, no entertainment time, sure? Um, what I'm thinking of, uh, I don't know. I just media literate, not even media literacy, I just don't. It's not your vibe how the attention, attention span, attention span. I'm not committed. You know I'm. That's one thing about me.

Speaker 2:

She said I have commitment issues you would think you would think I'm into polygamy. Oh, wow, I like to switch up very quickly. Interesting, you would think that about me? Yeah, not, but Well, that's for people who are. Yeah, so that's what we're talking about a lot. When you guys came to us, remember yeah, because there were some men there that seemed like they had more than one partner and I was like that's crazy. Well, no, remember, I told you the night before I went to dinner with my friend and she was telling me About her open relationship.

Speaker 2:

That's crazy. Yes, that's crazy. To me, dog, it's not the first time I've met here that to me, dog, it's not the first one I've met here. That's such a normal thing here. Listen, more power to you. Will I be partaking in polygamy? Absolutely not. But if you can, hey, more power to you. I've learned it's not polygamy, it's E&M ethically non-monogamous relationship.

Speaker 1:

Oh my gosh, you learn something new every day. Someone does their research.

Speaker 2:

Listen, it's not even that I want to. Just on dating apps. You'll just see so many guys that are like in their bio E-N-M-R.

Speaker 3:

That's so crazy After a while.

Speaker 2:

I learned that it means they're in an open relationship. Essentially, that's crazy.

Speaker 1:

Would, you be dating Mr Right, the the right guy. If he was just in an open relationship, howdy hell no, no, yeah, there's no way.

Speaker 2:

In hell, howdy would be.

Speaker 1:

There's no way what if that's the the man? What is that? The man of your dreams, prince charming, that is the one he's not my man, because that's no he's also her man what happened?

Speaker 2:

he's not your man because he's no, he's also her man. What happened? He's not your man because he's also the other girl's man. Exactly, he's everyone's man. So I'm good it's for the street he's been a man for everyone, is not a man for me, exactly. Respect, that's crazy. That is a man of the streets.

Speaker 1:

Like you said, I'm good, that's yeah, we were talking about that a lot, because there were a lot of, because that is like, yeah, it's like a thing over there which more part to you. It's his sound.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, fast forward a year, and he's like so I met this guy.

Speaker 1:

So I'm in an open relationship guys. She's like no, no, no Two partners.

Speaker 2:

Dude, she's like no, no, no, two partners dude, that's crazy.

Speaker 3:

It's not like that, though I just know that I I just yeah, I'm just too jealous, and life for sure.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah, I don't think it's something that you can grow on. I mean maybe, but I think that has to be something that you want?

Speaker 2:

I don't know there's like those people that are like I could love. I think it's not fair that, as a society, we thought we could only love one person. Blah, blah, blah, blah. Like more power to you. If that's how you think I'm good, I can't even find one person to love me. Stop it. She starts crying. She starts crying. No, I think it's crazy. Like I get that mindset like how can you only love one person? However, it's not like the same kind of love. You love all kinds of things at once all the time that's why I'm like I don't.

Speaker 2:

If that's your thought process, listen whatever helps you sleep at night. Honestly, yeah okay. So like this is my take, as much as it sucked, I think going through a heartbreak is like I am so grateful for it, like a quintessential, like human, like human experience. I think everyone should go through, as much as it fucking sucks. But music movies just hit so much harder. When you like, have that like the person, very human experience, that very human experience you just feel like a human right and I just think and like, because of that I am.

Speaker 2:

I understand that I'm like I'm cool, that I need to date like five more guys before I find the love of my life. I can see that like I'm still in with that mindset. I think that's also like the type of personality I am too, but like I don't know, when I'm back home and I see, like you guys, my cousins, who, like are marrying their like high school sweetheart, like I love it, but I'm just like, damn, that's crazy, because I feel like my first relationship was gnarly and you said, I cannot imagine marrying them. Oh for sure, yeah, no. And I think, like you said, I think breakups give a new perspective, and I think the same can be true the other way. Like being with someone so long give you a new perspective too, and it's so rare that that happens nowadays too. Yeah, I would say I just think it's crazy, it's very cool, which is very cool. Yeah, I think it's all very cool.

Speaker 1:

And the other thing, too, is that you have to be willing to fight it out, like there's no perfect relationship or a perfect relationship, or you find your perfect match. No, if you guys are both willing to be like all right, we're gonna do this together and we're gonna create our foundation, I'm willing to be with you and fight with you and to rebuild everything. It's a lot of trial and error. There's never gonna be a moment. It's always fucking rainbows and sunshine.

Speaker 2:

Yes, no, you have to be there yeah, tough times.

Speaker 1:

You have to learn to evolve, learn to really challenge yourselves yeah, into bettering each other.

Speaker 2:

I was listening to this podcast with um remi cruz and alicia marie pretty basic um, this little podcast, literally just a podcast, or whatever um, and they were literally talking about today. They had alicia's sister oh my god, what's? Ashley and then taryn, and they have another um podcast, but they were together and they were literally saying, like that they're best friends, they're two sets of best friends and that they had to learn, like, how to communicate with each other. And one of the best friends I think it was ashley, which is alicia's sister.

Speaker 2:

But ashley said that when she that she would try to actively try not to fight with her best friend, because a fight meant like that was it? They weren't friends anymore, whereas taryn was trying, not trying to fight, but she would like pick the fight with her friend, because to her it was like, okay, we're just going to get over it and move on. Yeah, and she said that it took them a while for them to know, like that that's what the other person was thinking and to like talk about that. And she was like and that's what a best friend is, isn't it? Like someone that you can sit there and fight with but you know like it's not going to turn detrimental that's crazy.

Speaker 1:

My best friend took my money. I love that.

Speaker 2:

Okay, okay, that's crazy, but it was like that. That was marty starting to start crying, literally.

Speaker 2:

No but that's literally what they were saying today and I was like having this whole revelation in the car and I was like, oh my God, they're so right. Like your best friend or the people that you surround yourself with, like you have to be willing to like fight with them and fight for them, and to fight like for the friendship and know like it's not the end of the world when you do fight. And I thought that was yeah, I love that like transferring it to friendships and relationships too.

Speaker 1:

yeah, like it's all the same at the end of the day, relationship to relationship, it's just yeah, I think the realest, the realest friend that you can ever have is the one that's going to give you the honest response and to be there to oh and like, almost like, check you into the thing of like. Why would you do that like?

Speaker 2:

what the fuck is wrong with you like why don't you do this instead? Like you know, it's not envious it's not like you know yeah doing anything maliciously or anything like that it's the complete opposite yeah you want the best for them and you want the best for for everyone yeah, yeah, I feel autistic sometimes because I'll say shit that just comes to my mind, when, like, people are like venting to me or like I don't know feeling their heart out.

Speaker 2:

I'm just like, yeah, and I feel bad because I'm just like, well, and I just like give a different perspective, as opposed to just like being the yes person. Yeah, and I have lost friendships because of that. But at the same time, it's just like that's, you know. That's when you realize what friendships because of that, but at the same time, it's just like you know that's when you realize what friendships are like. That's what that's when you realize what good relationships are is when people who can accept those, yeah, the other perspectives, who appreciate the perspective too, yeah, I think it's cool. Yeah, I think it's all cool and I think you will find someone I don't know about soon, but I think you will find someone I don't know about soon, but I think you will find someone, maybe in Europe, maybe you're going to meet the love of your life in Europe. No, thanks, that's one thing about me too. Every guy that Adi talks to or like is thinking about talking to I'm like what if they're your husband?

Speaker 2:

What if?

Speaker 1:

that's the love of your life. Shut up.

Speaker 2:

Anyways, that's what you said about little Jew boy. Fuck little Jew boy.

Speaker 1:

What happened on Friday?

Speaker 2:

And fuck the Lorax too.

Speaker 1:

We don't like them. Am I cutting this or am I leaving this?

Speaker 2:

in You're good. No, you can keep it. Yeah, one thing about Kat she's going to make up a name for any person I date. It's just so much easier. Oh no, the Lorax we don't like. No, about Kat. She's going to make up a name for any person I date. It's just so much easier. Oh no, the Lorax, we don't like. No that's a big no-no. The Lorax gave us some trauma.

Speaker 1:

Trauma.

Speaker 2:

I was.

Speaker 3:

Go for it.

Speaker 2:

Go ahead, tell your story, speak your truth, girl. I went to a movie on Friday at a park with my friend and we went to watch selena. And one thing about these movie events they were during the summertime this was the first one so it was like packed and they're a big deal. So we go outside to the move to the park to watch the movie. We get there like two hours before because it gets packed, like they're like get a spa, it gets packed, and so we are out there. Um, I'm back to go pick up food from a near restaurant. There's like drag performers, like it's a vibe. There's music yeah, it's a vibe. And this couple walks right in front of me, they sit down and his homeboy that I went on like four dates with and I was a little jew boy oh, what little jew boy.

Speaker 2:

What I said, there's no fucking way. There is no fucking way.

Speaker 1:

And I like physically screamed out loud when I saw him it wasn't like I was picturing just her, just like ah no, it was like oh, it was a gasp yeah it was a gasp.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah, it was a gasp. She was laughing and then I snapped and I sent it to kat and that was it. Yeah, so she, um, she sent me a video and she was literally like a picture of her face and she's like you're never gonna guess what happened. And I was like what like, what like, because one thing about adi, she's right, I never know what's coming around the corner. So she's like you're never gonna guess. And she sends a picture and I see that it's little jew boy and I'm like no shot, what are the odds exactly.

Speaker 2:

I'm surprised I've never ran into him already, yeah. So then I was like step on his fingers because he was like leaning back yeah I was like step on his fingers. She was like no, I'm just gonna watch the movie. I was like that's crazy. Wow, yeah, yeah. But one thing I will make the names because it's easier to keep track the way like I'm toxic.

Speaker 1:

I'm sorry, I hate to break it, I'm just toxic. The way that I would have gone up to that person and be like I had a great time last night, thank you, and just walked away.

Speaker 2:

No way. I haven't seen my voice since like October, so there is no need for that, so it was valid. He was able to move on. I do think he saw me, though, which was really funny. So, like mid movie. Mid movie they leave First off. Don't disrespect selena like that.

Speaker 1:

We were watching selena literally sit your ass down and watch the whole movie put some respect on her name.

Speaker 2:

second off, second off. They leave and then homegirl like walks towards me like it's like like walking in like my direction and he takes off in the other direction and I was like yeah, he definitely saw me, yeah yeah, he was like let me avoid this. They were cupcaking the whole fucking time and I was like that's disgusting.

Speaker 1:

You said watch the movie. That should have been me.

Speaker 2:

No, I said thank God, that's not me. I fucking hate PDA.

Speaker 1:

Okay.

Speaker 2:

That's true. She does Anyways, all that to say it's crazy out there. San Francisco's a small city, San Francisco is not that big.

Speaker 1:

Interesting.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, so.

Speaker 1:

Well, thank you for sharing your story.

Speaker 2:

Dating is a fucking nightmare in this city, I swear to God.

Speaker 1:

Somebody is out there for you.

Speaker 2:

They could be listening.

Speaker 1:

And when you find them, they might be unpredictable when it happens when you find them.

Speaker 2:

Marty's about to find his new bestie period. Well, so, my friend, my money and fucking backstab me stop, okay, go ahead.

Speaker 2:

One of my friends, my other co-workers she just got back from amsterdam, like last month, and she met this boy. She sat right next to this boy and he was moving to san francisco and he's moving to san francisco in september and they were talking all the way home. They had an eight hour flight to talk. Wow, what a way to meet somebody. A win is Listen, that's trying to be you, speak, that in the environment, that's going to be you. But I feel like I'm not ready to date either.

Speaker 2:

I feel like I have so much to grow on. Then facts, and it's not going to be you. We're actually going to manifest the exact opposite and hopefully sit next to somebody that doesn't talk to you at all.

Speaker 1:

I'll call it. I'll even put money on it right now it's gonna happen when you least expect it to be like oh shit hey, yeah, and that's how it always works, right period well, love talking to you.

Speaker 2:

We can. We can yap for hours if it lets us, but no one on the podcast wants to hear all that.

Speaker 1:

You're interesting, I know people would love to listen to this.

Speaker 2:

Going on to three hours, I would love to he said however I have to edit this and I do not want to he said I listened to this for free. At nine o'clock at night when I'm trying to go to bed, I was waiting for the butt, lol, but please.

Speaker 1:

But please continue.

Speaker 2:

Anyways, well, thanks for having us.

Speaker 3:

Any last words that you want to say, or any?

Speaker 1:

advice that you want to give to the listeners, whether it's with life, whether it's with dating, whether it's with adventure I can't give any dating advice Some spots in SF they should visit any dating advice some spots they should visit.

Speaker 2:

My biggest advice is be as spontaneous as you can, because you only have like whatever you're doing right now is the only time you're going to have this like specific time in your life. You're doing, you know, like, however unique your life is right now, like capture that and like whether that's planning a day trip to san francisco, like going to like your favorite dinner, going to your favorite bar last night, like just anything small, if you want to do it and you can act on it and like take that whatever you want to do, because you know life is too short to not be doing whatever the fuck you want to do.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I planned my trip that I'm going on like a month before, so literally, she called me she was like I'm going to Europe next month. I said, huh, okay.

Speaker 3:

No.

Speaker 1:

Well-deserved, well-deserved trip, and I hope that it goes well.
